its June already (time is running so fast!) and in just a few weeks/months the big announcements of new Transatlantic Services will start again, usually between late August and late October.
I think 2023 will be very interesting, it seems most of the Pandemic is over, demand recovers in a astonishing speed, many Transatlantic Flights were paused long-term or completely cut in 2020. Sure many of them will return one by one, but recent recessions/crises have shown that after the "big bang" a lot of completely new, not (or long not) served before routes, pop up. Also we are not far away from the EIS of the A321XLR, Summer 2023 will be the last Summer without the XLR as far as the delay does not increase. Will United for example start some new routes with 757/767 to later switch them to the XLR? They should have one or another 757/767 available because all the PW 777s return now.
What new routes on which Airlines do you expect for Summer 2023? I think about making a Statistic of all ideas/expectations and then make a ranking. I am extremely curious how close our expectations will be to reality at the end.
My expectations (reduced to my Home Country Germany so far, have to have a look at the rest of Europe later):
DL ATL-DUS return (yearround)
DL JFK-BER return (seasonal)
UA EWR-DUS (yearround)
UA EWR-HAM (yearround)
UA IAD-BER (seasonal, another try, may be delayed to when the XLR is available)
AA: I honestly do not see any other Germany routes before the XLR arrives.
And maybe LED-JFK on a Baltia Air Lines 747?
