Hello folks , I am due to fly to Addis Ababa on Thursday. I booked last month because it was scheustes that a A-350 with the new 1-2-1 seating will be operated by Ethiopian Airlines. Now I checked again and saw they will operate a B-777-300ER instead with - 2-3-2 layout with not even flat business seats. I only chose to fly ET because of the new Business Class product and now this.
Am I entiteld to some sort of refund ?
Anyone knows why sent send an aircraft with this mediocre business class on a prime route like Frankfurt which was 350 exclusive ( and 95% new Business Class).
Any insights ? Recommendations ?

You aren't entitled to anything. You agreed to the terms and conditions of travel, which included the clause that equipment may be subject to change.

You may be entitled to a flight change or refund under the CoC, but probably not with ET. They are well known for swapping aircraft and configurations at the last minute.

Most likely due to demand, B777-300ER 365Y vs A350 with only 318Y...
Only solution, you may ask ET for a courtesy change to Wednesday with A350 scheduled... Good luck!

They didn’t chance me. The flight was indeed operated by an old mediocre business class. I was in Row 2 and for some reason they serve row 1, 3 , 5 first and then row 2 and 4 which had the outcome that I had no good choice. Crew was mediocre as the seat itself. Screen was old and I think that was my last time on ET.
