Had a holiday to Sri Lanka earlier this year, flew UL A333 4R-ALO LHR - CMB is biz class and returned on -ALQ in Y. Best though was the 28 min flight on Cinnamon Air C208 CMB - Sigiriya.

Checking back in here - to my surprise, I haven't flown since the end of January! I have travel plans for the summer though, including my first transatlantic flight on an Aer Lingus A321NEO from BDL - DUB and back at the end of June/start of July. Should be interesting to fly on a narrowbody for that length and especially on ocean-crossing. The closest I've done in length on a narrowbody is BOM - SIN on Vistara.

Otherwise, I have an additional 6 flights planned for 2 trips, all on United!

2023 is shaping up great in regards to flying.

So far, 77 segments flown with 30 new airports, 33 new airlines and 7 new aircraft types added to my log.

Best of all, flown 5 segments on the 747-400 in 2023!

Also finally flown on the UA Island hopper between Guam and Honolulu after a couple of unsuccessful attempts during COVID. After close to 16 hours and 6 segments on the same 737 I was ready to get off at HNL, however I had another 3 segments on 737 family aircraft, going HNL-OGG-LAS-LAX before arriving home.

In total, the full route was Tokyo to Los Angeles via FUK, GUM, TKK, PNI, KSA, KWA, MAJ, HNL, OGG and LAS, all 11 segments on 737s, 9 on 737-800Ws and 2 on 737-8 MAX. Sure the craziest way to cross the Pacific. Have actually now crossed both the Pacific and the Atlantic all on 737s. The Atlantic crossing was LAX-YYZ-YHZ-LHR and the return LHR-YYT-YYZ-LAX all with AC 737-8 MAX a few years ago. The things we do as aviation enthusiasts!
