I previously mentioned the possibility of DL adding SEA-YYZ nonstop service with DL having a hub at SEA and DL's partner WS having a hub at YYZ.
DL would likely have stronger Canadian point-of-sale on SEA-YYZ than AS would with DL able to target the WS FF base in Eastern Canada.
DL also already codeshares on WS's YYZ-YHZ/YQM/YUL/YOW/YYT nonstop flights which would allow DL to offer connections to a few other Eastern Canadian markets from SEA-YYZ if DL adds SEA-YYZ nonstop service.
There are a few advantages that AS would have over DL on the SEA end of SEA-YYZ if AS adds SEA-YYZ nonstop service, including
(a) the much bigger AS presence at SEA,
(b) the significant FF base that AS has in Greater Seattle, and
(c) the connections that AS would be able to offer through SEA to smaller markets in WA/AK that don't have DL service.
