My wife and I will be in the greater Bakersfield area next month visiting our daughter and I'd love to make a trip to Rainbow Canyon/Star Wars Valley to try my hand at aviation photography (I am aware that there was a military accident back in 2019 involving a F18 that shut things down for awhile). Does the military still conduct training in the canyon? If so, is there one day that is better than another?
Any insight or direction you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
