Do The TSA Agents Make You Feel Safe?
When I go through security I tend to feel that those people don't look like they are really fiscally fit to protect me against terrorists and usually it doesn't seem like they are ready to go and save me. How do you feel?

In a word, no. As a matter of fact, when I watch them I find myself mentally tabulating the approximate payroll costs for the amount of time I spend standing in line, and comparing that to what was withheld from my last paycheck. Then I start paying attention to some of the individuals and I get REALLY scared.

A couple of times I have had to make very last minute flights for business purposes, and have accidentally gotten through security at several different airports with pocket knives, long pointy scissors, and even a box cutter once, in my brief case. Had no idea they were there until I got to my destination and started taking things out. Kind of scary that I was able to get all of those things through on multiple occasions at multiple airports. I wonder if it made a difference that I was wearing my SIDA badge, and the screener didn't really feel the need to thoroughly search my bags or something. It shouldn't make a difference, at least. Since, I have made it a point even on a last minute flight to go through things when I park at the airport just to make sure; I can't afford usually to be detained by police for attempting to take a prohibited item into the secured area. TSA certainly looks like they're doing something, but exactly what that something is, is up for debate.
God I love the smell of avgas in the morning!!!

On the other hand, it always depends. Sometimes the agents are friendly and they inspect me the way that they should.
And then the bad-wanding me inapproprieatley, and SCREAMING at me in fourth grade.

SIDA is an acronym...Security Identification Display Area. It's the airport security badge that allows an airport / airline employee to access the secured areas of an airport. It also prevents / denies access to certain parts of the airport that an individual employee may not have approval to be in. The badge allows you to use the employee line at the security checkpoint, too, which gets you through a 30 min wait in under 5 min.

Yes, it will make feel safe with TSA and without any problems at the checkpoint. I can make go through into the gate area this couple weeks ago and saw with my friend Ben Wang was there.
