Anybody With The Initials . . .

Tue Aug 03, 2004 10:30 am

Now I know we are all fanatics of Aviation but were some of us just born for aviation? Does anybody have initials that are very famous abbreviations in the aviation world? Like REV as in non-rev or DL or BA or AC as in A/C.
Mine are SR, nothing that good. What are yours?

Your initials are good for something. How about the 747SR? Or the SR-71 Blackbird? That's the two airplanes I'd thought of, when thinking of 'SR".
Now my initials, TH, are really good for nothing!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy Regards.

Mine are DAG, I could skip the middle name but I prefer to keep it in as it makes up the end of this Ryanair's registration EI-DAG. I don`t think they also match any airline codes, but I could be wrong!

There is a Mexico based carrier that uses the "JR" code, it seems. "Aero California"

But, "JR" only seem to get respect from those of us who dug that great prime time soap, "DALLAS"... as in...."Bobby, I'm going with daddy, and Punk Anderson for a bourbon and branch at the Cattleman's Club"

If you don't stand for SOMETHING, you'll fall for ANYTHING.

Well, what do you know, my initials, CJP, are also the last three letters of the registration # of this Boeing 767-219/ER. Later re-registered OB-1766, I got to fly her two years ago from LIM to MIA. Never again, NuevoContinente! Never again!

Okay this is not an airline in the true sense however my name was deliberately chosen for the initials.

My father worked for the Royal Flying Doctors Service here in Australia some years before I was born, probably late 1950's. My parents returned to Holland and I came along and was given the initials RFDS, which was only practical because my last name happens to start with an "S". My second name is Flynn, which is after the Rev John Flynn who founded the Flying Doctors service.
My initials are spelled out on the tails of their aircraft.
I so want to fly on SCAT one day!

EasyJet Switzerland, eh? Isn't that kind of ironic Ryanair737?  Laugh out loud

Anyways, I don't think I'm anything too important! Not an airport that I'm aware of, or an airline for that matter.

Just a couple of registrations!
