Airport You Transit Through The Most

Being a UA flyer, I often find myself most commonly waiting for boarding times at SFO and NRT while in transit.

Where do you find yourself transiting through the most?

Mostly I find myself boarding at either SFO (thats because I live in SF), JFK, and a lot at SVO.

I usually transfer through BCN, I prefer it to MAD, the terminal is so much more spacious and well laid out. Not to mention the fact that most of the walls are made from glass, so you can see everything going on airside!

Sometimes use BRS too, its smaller but just as modern and great for quick transfers. In five mins you can get off one aircraft and be in line for your next flight. The only downside is that in the departures lounge a special type of glass has been installed to deflect sunlight, which it also makes a good job of inhibiting your view out Angry

Having EWR as my home airport, I never have to transfer through anywhere. CO has non-stops to almost any city you could want to go to, so it's rarely necessary.

Unfortunately, I have the displeasure of transiting through IAH most often. If I am lucky enough to get flights that arrive into and out of the new terminal, it is not so bad. Otherwise it is usually a mad dash through the airport from one end to the other.

I always connect through ATL. I actually prefer going thru ATL and sometimes go out of my way to go thru ATL.

For me that would be Madrid Barajas (though I also prefer BCN, like PlymSpotter) and Amsterdam Schiphol. I really like AMS, if you have enough time in between you can go through customs and up to the huge terrace. The situation in MAD might change with the new terminals, they used lots of glass there too.

It's FRA without doubt, I've been to the airport more that 25 times the last 12 months without ever leaving the airport it self.

Being a DL in TLH I mostly use ATL, but on occasion, I'll use DFW or CVG. This year its been mostly CVG, though.

I would have to say MIA with AA. Though i havent been there in 2 1/2 years. I now use FLL with AV and DL. I have also transited through FRA, ATL, MEX and CCS.

BWI ( because i live 15min away) and FLL, i go there a few times a year. Others are PHL, CLT and i did ATL once.

I almost always dont have to connect fly AA from MIA. But the times I have it was with Delta in ATL or once with AA in DFW.

Almost always CLE, obviously with COex/ CO. Although, as of late, I've been flying B6 through JFK an awful lot.

That being the case, this year it's a toss-up between BOS and PVD (FL & WN).

Last year, it was a 3-way tie between DTW, TOL & BOS (FL & NW).

PHX Sky Harbor Intl. I live in PHX so obviously that is the one but it is still my favorite name and airport in the USA, outside the USA, I tend to like the name Changi for some reason.....

As Trickijedi said, home/destination airports don't count. The definition of a transit airport is one where a passenger arrives and departs within a given period of time, usually within 24 hours.

For me, PHL or CLT have to rank as number 1 (probably PHL).

When flying Switzerland-southern India-Switzerland :

In 2004 : 4 X FRA (LH) and 8 X SIN (SQ)

Now : every month RUD or JED (SV)
