I love the sound that the flaps make as they're being extended / retracted... especially on the 757... it makes those cool sounds that lets u know you're really flyin

The 757 makes an awesome noise, whether landing, on the roll, on the climbout, you can tell straight away thats its a 757!

The sound of a Boeing 747-400 spooling-up on the runway and the groan it makes when it starts to pick up speed 
I love it when me and my family are driving down the road that runs parallel with 27R/9R and a 747 takes off, the noise drives my parents crazy but I love it

'bing bong' sound which seems to happen randomly through the flight either when people press cabin crew call bell or seatbelt signs coming on etc.... I just love it!!!

The sound of Virgin's 747 engine start up at MAN from the apron..I take every opportunity to be around T2 when she pushes back.....it's AWESOME!!

IL-76 on final approach , nothing beats the scream of those engines , and the traling smoke.

I don't know that it's my favorite, but it is reassuring: the sound of the rubber scrubbing the asphalt on landing, followed by the reverse thrusters - and no unexpected sounds!

Yes! You beat me to it. However, it can be heard just as well from the outside. It's very unique...almost like the engines go from idle to a high setting immediately with the push of a button. There really is no gradual spooling sound. Anyone know why this is??
Other favorites:
-757 "buzzsaw" on takeoff
-MD-80 engines spooling up and down during taxi. (However when left at idle for extended periods of time, those engines get on my nerves REAL quick)
-DC-10 in any situation...oh man music to my ears!

My favorite aircraft sound is the engines of the Piaggio P.180 Avanti when it is climbing.......dam it sounds nice!

US Coast Guard Dauphin or Falcon, the whine is to intoxicating to resist!! I swear the Falcon is quieter then the stealth fighter!!
Outside Floating on an innertube in the Florida Straights:
Cessna 337 of Brother's to the Rescue!!
Outside when the Shuttle is Landing: The Sonic Double boom, It's one of the reasons I moved to Central Florida!!
Inside Aircraft:

The Distinctive Electric Click click click of above while the turbine noise is comming into play is VERY oddly facinating.
When I'm touring a cockpit long before or especially after flight:
