Help, Flying DL After Surgery

Fri Jul 01, 2005 2:11 am

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on the following issue.

I am going to be operated on in NYC on 4th August and flying JFK-NCE on 27th of August with DL. I am already booked in BizElite. I might still be in pain although it will be safe to travel. Any advice on what to ask for and what to expect from DL?...

Thanks,

AF773

Advise DL that you have had surgery within the month before travel and make sure that they are 100% happy for you to travel. Cant really say what to expect from them but let the crew know when you get on too and I'm sure they will look after you!

seems you should be talking first to your doctors! Will you be ambulatory, require assistance? What do you expect from DL?

Thanks for the replies,

Doctors give a major go-ahead. Some people get back to work two weeks after this surgery and it is safe to fly. Just was wondering if DL will provide with some assistance with luggage at either JFK or NCE. Without getting into details, I will be mobile, just a little slow and very tired.

Absolutely they will. As has already been stated, let them know you need assistance and they will provide it.
