What Is The Worst Flight To Check In?
Working for a handling company, i get the "privelege" to work with many different airlines, both sked and charter to many different destinations, but for all you PSA's out there, which flight or airline gives you the biggest headache?? For me, i cant stand charter pax mentality, like seriously, be happy...your going on vacation and for a damn good price...as for sked, I am a Portuguese/Canadian, and S4 YYZ-PDL drives me mental...God forbid there is a 2 min delay...as for luggage...YYZ-MXP on AZ or KL YYZ-AMS...my god its a luggae disaster!!

For luggage nightmares (mind you, I'm talking back in the 70's and 80's):
JM MIA-MBJ or MIA-KIN flights (almost any time of year)
Bahamassair MIA-FPO or MIA-NAS (any Sunday night or during Christmas)!
For pax nightmares:
MIA-EWR, JFK, EWR
PBI-EWR ("Miracle Worker" flights - 50 wheelchairs on, 1 or none off)
MIA-PAP (the smell of seldomly-bathed humans - Yuck!)
That's pretty much what I remember from my turn in the box...It mostly the reason I got my A & P Licenses and went into Maintenance - Airplanes may be a pain at times but at least they make sense!

I would imagine that many Mid East / Asian flights are bad for the shear volume of baggage they take. These days in Portugal, we have a lot of new immigrants from Eastern European and when they go home for the first time they take everything including sacks of oranges. One of my clients going to BUH was upset because LH would only take 40kg of his luggage - he showed up with over 80kg - with a Y ticket allowing 20!!
Our flights into TIP were fun as because you couldn't get anything there, people would carry everything including whole car exhaust systems, and fenders. Even my Mom carried a couple of tyres in once for her company car. My parents had to turn down a Libyan colleague who asked if I could bring in 20kg of nails so that he could finish his house (I was 11 at the time!)

I've flown mostly on Skyservice out of YYZ and I think that they are by far the slowest airline for check in.
Air Canada is pretty fast.
Air Transat is the same as skyservice
Canada3000 was amazing... Never a line up!!! EVER
The worst time of year to travel would have to be Christmas out of YYZ.
Packed no matter what!!!

True, YYZ is always very busy (but I think the International arrival is even worse if you want to pick up somebody - simply no space to wait and millions of people...).
Check-in wise I think El Al is very bad, because they have the higher security measures. I never flew with them, but always saw them checking in at CGN. They closed off a separate gate, you needed to be there at least 3 hours in advance, and often they manually searched every suitcase to be checked in...
I also always had long lines at BUF! A small airport with quite a large amount of flights, but too few check-in counters and check-in machines.
PMI is bad news as well - all the charter and no-frills passengers. I 100% agree with RicardoFG: I can't stand it anymore. I know it sounds arrogant, but after so many times and so many years you just want your peace and quiet (at least I do).
Any Greek airport is a nightmare to check-in at. Mind you, that has been a few years back, but consistently (I was at SKG, CFU and KGS). Very unfriendly staff, not speaking English, chaos everywhere, and nobody seems to know what they are doing...
With all these passengers and associated small and big problems I am always amazed how efficient and friendly most check-in staff are. They are doing an awesome job, sometimes under extreme time pressure. And they still smile and are friendly - many genuinely friendly and not "service"friendly...

Any flight to Lagos, Accra, Freetown, Delhi, Abuja, Kano, Addis Ababa, Kampala... the list goes on
Next destinations, Suarabaya, beirut, paris, Accra

There were always fights, arguments and screaming at the check-in. It didn't matter which airline it was.
Rowdy, drunken charter flights were a positive dream to do after that.

Anything on Southwest, really. 
Better to be nouveau than never to have been riche at all.
