My first was when I was three. I traveled from Central Wisconsin Airport to Chicago O'hare onboard a United Express/AirWisconsin ATP That is one of the few things that I remeber from when I was that age.

My first flight was back in June 1990, Singapore Airlines SIN-PEN on an Airbus A310-222. If I did not see wrongly it's either 9V-STM or STN. At that time, I had severe ear cramps and while landing, they had to stuff up my ears with cotton fluff.

Hello!

I think my very first flight was a transpacific flight on Delta Airlines from Hong Kong to Los Angeles in 1994. On my way back from LAX to HKG, we stopped over in Taipei for refueling.

I remember my first Flight very well !!!

My Parents fly with me from Duesseldorf (DUS) to Mahon (MAH) at Menorca/Spain. The A/C was an
Airbus A 310-???. The Airline was Hapag-Lloyd (HF).

PS.: I think Hapag-Lloyd is the best Charter Airline
in Germany !!! One Crash, but Nobody dies, I
hope HF has fired the Pilot !!!

My first flight was Dec. 27 1999. Midwest Express flight 210 BOS-MKE.

Amazing flight, perfectly clear the WHOLE way to MKE during the dark nighttime hours. It was absolutely amazing to see half of the country from 33kft perfectly crystal clear.

That flight really turned me onto aviation so I am glad it was so memorable.

It was from Manila to Cebu City (Philippines) on PAL. I was like 6 or something. The only thing I remember was the seperation of the islands down below. Don't remember the food or anything like that. Oh, I also remember getting spanked for not wanting to put my seatbelt on. Just excited I guess!

My first flight was from FRA-JFK on a PAN AM 747. I think I was 18 months old, back in '83. Don't remember a thing but I do remember my mom saying that they lost our dog. (How do you lose a fully grown Great-Dane, especially if you've ever seen the size of the crate).

It was a flight from Kuching (Malaysia) KCH-KUL (Old Subang airport) via Singapore Changi in 1989 on MAS A300B4. A very memorable experience, got a windows seat. On the flight back, I had my first 'ear' air travel sickness on MAS B732, direct KUL-KCH.

The first flight I clearly remember was at the end of 1992 and I was only about 7 at the time. We flew from Johannesburg to New York on an SAA 747-200 if I remember correctly. There were no air bridges at JHB so I remember approaching this huge aircraft on my little feet on a clear, crisp evening. The 747-200's couldn't make it all the way to New York so SAA used a small island in the Atlantic called Ihla do Sohl (sp?) where the plane landed and refuelled and the passengers could get off and wait in a tiny airport lounge with nothing more than about 10 ground staff at the airport.

Mine was Canada 3000 from Vancouver-Calgary-Gatwick very long - but a very large nice aircraft it was an A330 and it was it's maiden voyage! Smelled great I had no idea what a long haul was until I was on that flight for 8 hours and I have been on way longer ones since then but that was a treat for my first time.

My first flight was while I was in the 6th grade. My class took a field trip to Sacramento for the day in May 1983, to study state government. The flight north was a Western Airlines 737 from LAX-SMF

1973 in a Viscount of British Midland(BMA it was then known as not bmi) from East Midlands to Ronaldsway(Isle of Man).What a plane to enjoy your first flight.I still remember those huge cabin windows

My first flight I can remember was on Balkan in the early 80's; from cardiff (Wales) to Bourgas (Bulgaria) on a TU-154. I also remember doing the same route on a TU-134 with a refueling stop in Bratislava; there were armed police escorting us off the plane to the terminal during refueling - that was quite an experience especially as it was during the 'cold-war' days !!!!

First flight was July, 1970. A DA 707 from DAL to ATL. Absolutely ecstatic to experience flying; absolutely depressed that the plane was helping me get from home to Ft. Jackson, S.C., where an Army stint was awaiting.

My first flight was in August 1970 when I was 10 years old. I flew on a PSA B727-200 from SJC to LAX for my first visit to Disneyland! I do not remember many of the details of the flight, but I do have a photo of the event.

hello everyone

My first flight (that i remember) was back in 1984. I was seven years old. My family and I flew from NYC to Saipan in the Northern Marianas Islands.
We flew Continental Airlines from JFK-DEN (Stapleton)-SFO-HNL-GUM-SPN
Very long trip and I remember being extremely excited.
I remember telling my parents that I loved to fly and that I wanted to work on a plane when I was older. Well, I fly for Continental now so I guess I achieved that childhood dream in a way.
On the way back we reversed the itinerary except we flew through IAH instead of DEN.

well pilot caz im not a certified pilot yet but i am well on the way to doing my first solo and thank you for posting the pic of VH-SPG in your reply as well
to become a pilot in Australia you need to take a trial introductory flight wich you can get for about $70 any were in Australia then from there on in you undergo flight and theory training as regulary as your budget allows you to gain your first solo and with in 3 or more flight lessons after doing your first solo you will most likely be issued with your GFPT (general flying frogrees test) wich is the first licene you need to take passangers but not for reward or pay only leisure once you have done that i recomend intense theory traing so you can then pass your private pilots licence test and flying exam

My first flights were when I was 2 years old. I flew from IAH to JFK, then from JFK to TLV with TWA on a Boeing 742 on the long flight and I believe it was a Boeing 757 on the IAH-JFK flight.

And now AA (which I hate more than any airline) has taken TWA away from me (cry, cry)

At a couple weeks old my parents took me from Chicago (MDW) to Cleveland (CLE) to visit her family. We almost always flew Midway Airlines (the old one, from Midway Airport). So I guess that they flew DC-9s, or MD-80s then. This was back in June 1986. Sorry I don't remember many details.

LY772: Btw, TWA lost the flight not because of American (although they could have chose to revive it), they brought it upon themselves for not paying the correct landing fees, taxes etc. at TLV.

My first flight was from ATL to SLC in November of 1990 on a Delta L-1011 (oh how I miss those planes). My second flight came later that same day, from SLC to RAP on a Delta 737. The best thing about that flight was that I had an entire middle row on an L-1011 to myself, and an entire row to myself on the 737.

Hello !

My first flight was in August, 1986 (I was 6 years old) on board the second Airbus A300B built (TEA color scheme, registration OO-TEF, with sweet name "Aline" painted on nose). I took it with my parents for holiday between Brussels, Belgium (BRU) and Palma de Mallorca, Spain (PMI). I didn't have a nice outside view as I was sitting on the central row of the aircraft, but I was able to visit the cockpit instead !

My first flight was great. I flew on an Aer Lingus 747-100 from jfk to shannon. It was a night flight and the service was great because they offered great things for kids. I fly to Ireland almost every summer, but that would be the only time I flew on their 747s. The A330-300 replaced them soon after, they are great aircraft but don't have the class as the 747.

I remember my 1st flights in 1979. It was an AA 727 from LGA to ORD. I was petrified. In Chicago, we boarded a 707 for the trip to Tucson. The 707 was a rip. With all the recent discussions about retirements, I now feel lucky to have flown on those two.

My first flight was in 1978,I was five.
I don't remember all the details but I know it was an American 727 from Tucson to Chicago. We were going to visit family in Saginaw,Mich. At Chicago we transferred to United (a 737-200) as AA doesn't serve MBS and United did not serve TUS at that time.

Well... my first flight was when i was about 2 years old so i don't remember it that much. It was a flight from ALB-PHL-SAN, no change of planes. (it was probably American Airlines but i cant remember). That's about all i know but like I said, I was only 2.

The first flight I remember well was BWI-PHL-PHX and the return PHX-PIT-BWI. All on USAirways. The first segment, BWI-PHL was on a 737-400. It was a fairly empty flight with only a couple of commuters. The second flight was on a 757-200. The f/a's were really nice and the food wasnt to bad. Overall it was about 5 hours.

Coming home we took the red eye back to PIT. I slept most of the way because we had just had a long day at the grand canyon. It left at 11:50PM and with a good tailwind we got to PIT in about 3 and a half hours. That was also on a 752. Finaly, the PIT-BWI flight was delayed a couple mins. It was also a 752, but not the same one.

It wasn't my first flight but the first I can remember was NY to San Juan on a Pan Am DC-7. I was about six years old at the time but it made a huge impression on me. Unlike today flying back then was a big deal and even something you could brag about because many people had never flown before. I remember walking out from the gate towards the plane and then climbing the stairs to board. I got to sit by the window and watching those big props start to turn and then belch fire and smoke one by one had me mesmerized. Climbout on the propliners was shallow not ballistic like the jets today. Cruise altitude was about 20,000 or so feet and the view outside the big square windows was fantastic as was the sight and sound of those big piston engines. I don't know if the plane had tray tables or not but I do remember the stewardess putting a pillow on my lap and then setting the meal tray on it. The best part of course for any kid who looked like he could behave himself was to be invited forward to the cockpit and receive your "junior captain's wings". If you never got to fly in those days you just don't know what you missed. The only one better was my father's first flight from San Juan to Miami aboard a Pan Am flying boat circa '41 or '42. Now that's a first flight!

My first flight took place in December 1965 when I was
eight weeks old. We flew from Columbia, South Carolina to Taipei, Taiwan. Departed Columbia on a Delta CV-440, from Atlanta on a Delta DC-8-61 to San Francisco. Transfered to Travis AFB, California for a Military charter flight via Braniff 707 all the way to Taiwan.

My first flight was in 1969 on a leased Bac 111 registered G AWGG of A.L.A.(Aerotrasnportes del Litoral Argentino).
I was 9 years old and my father bored of see me crying because I had never flown , bought two RT tkts AEP ROS AEP just to know how was that of flying!!!!.

It was incredible!!! In 40 minutes flight 4 hostess served 74 big breakfast (really very big ones!!)
On the same day (jan 18th), on the same aircraft I departed from ros at 07:30 and arrived again to aep

To day 32 years later I still enjoy flying like the first time and work for latin american airline.

My first flight was a Mexicana 757 in 1994. We left from where I used to live by bus which was also my first bus ride that was first class service. Then we were sent off to the airport and we got on the planeto LAX. Our flight left i think at 2 PM and got into LAX at 4 PM. overall the flight was excellent.
