I'd say for me, it would have to be British Airways, because it's a great airline, its staff have always be polite and its service is second to none.

Alaska Air
America West*
Continental
United Airlines
Mexicana (because we actually landed)

*Our plane was delayed out of Seattle due to ice, by the time we got to Phoenix, our connecting flight to Cancun had departed. America West had already booked us on a flight to Mexico City with a connecting flight to Cancun on Mexicana Airlines. Outstanding customer service!! That's the only time I've flown on America West and the first time on an Airbus (A320.)

National pride leads me to Air New Zealand.

Of course I'm not just saying that. In my experiences with them, I have had very good flights with excellent service adn good punctuality.

Also, like NZ8800 I like the relaxed style of the NZ crew. It certainly makes you feel more at hope, and gives the flight a little more 'fun' factor. Prefer the personalised 'informal yet professional' appraoch to the robotic service on other carriers

I'm partial to LX for flights to Europe. Most domestic carriers in the US are pretty similar (and not great) in my opinion. QX has always served me well (free beer has a way of impacting my opinon  Smile ).

You are joking of course  rotfl

* Airports a building site
* Immigrations a nightmare
* Airport Road (main airport approach road) is a desert track
* Always late in departure
* Never got your choice of meals (usually chicken)

On my last trip DOH/LHR on QR001, we were 2 1/2 hours late in departure and then two YES TWO aborted takeoffs - give me Gulf Air anytime.............

Lufthansa - There is no better way to fly

I must admit I haven't tried a lot of other airlines yet! Actually never been on an another big airline yet than Lufthansa...

Same with me. For more than 5 years I have been a frequent flyer, called Senator, with LH. And most of the flights were performed by LH and I cannot report about bigger minus points.

Further good airlines I could recommend are:

Air Dolomiti
SAS
Eurowings
LTU
Air Berlin
Interflug (oh, this is a very long time ago... and its over...)

But there is one airline, I had to use around 15 years ago: TAESA from Mexico. Really terrible. Nothing that would be valuable to mention as service or so. Just stewards onboard, whose English was still worse than mine.

While a lot of people claim American airlines offer an inferior quality of service, I disagree. It is simpler than some of the other nation's fine airlines, but there is something to be said for that. Perhaps it's my midwestern simplicity influencing me here, but despite flying, and finding LH,AF,KL to be nice, for my money, the following:

1.

2.

3.

and my favorite LCC

Of the airlines I've flown:
Legacies:
1. Delta
2. Northwest
3. US Airways
4. Continental*

LCCs:
1. Frontier
2. Sun Country

Overall:
1. Delta
2. Frontier
3. Sun Country
4. Northwest
5. US Airways
6. Continental*

*The low ranking is because I've only flown them once and it was such a short flight that there wasn't much service.

I will let you know when I do.  Big grin

Oh, you mean of the ones I've flown on!

I have only flown on US carriers, but of them AA had the best FAs. Friendly and you could joke with them. I actually liked HP as well. I haven't flown USAirways in a long time so it will be interesting to see how they are.
