I remember when i was on a NZ flight from AKL to SYD they offered chocolate ice cream in a tub. funny thing was it was hard a rock and they give me a plastic spoon with it

I'm sure I've had Kapiti in Economy too...either that or another NZ brand.

I have been served ice cream on DL flights on ATL-MAD-ATL routes (economy class). Had also some good ice cream on IB's Business Plus flying between MAD and UIO last month.

The only time I have flown on a KLM 747-400 was from AMS to JFK on KL641 back in March of 2004. The aircraft had arrived from Hong Kong before our departure and was quickly turned around to operate the flight to JFK after an 8 hour delay because the 777-200 scheduled to fly the route went tech. Upon arrival to JFK passengers in economy recived strawberry ice cream. I have since flown KL641 a second time but on the 777-200 and did not recive ice cream or a pre-arrival sandwhich like I had the last time.

Is the ice cream on KLM only offered on Asian routes?

Several years ago I was on a Northwest flight from MSP-ANC. In first class we where offered vanilla ice cream and warm chocolate chip cookies for dessert. After we landed in Anchorage I was lucky enough to get into the cockpit to look around and the the first class flight attendant offered the pilots and I more warm cookies and ice cream. This was one of my most memorable experiences with NWA.

I fly KLM between YVR-AMS quite often and have always had ice cream with them in economy for the last several years.

In recent years, LH has served ice cream on the YVR-FRA run and AC has served ice cream on the LHR-YVR and YYC, and FRA-YYC runs.

I had a cup of ice cream on EK's Y class from MAN to DXB on December 1999. It was not a famous brand but it was very nice. I think the flavour was cinnamon.

In 2002 I flew LGW - DXB and they'd changed to choc-ice bars. I think the brand was "Losely" or "Loosly" or something... it tasted stale though!

Only had ice cream once, on a daytime VS flight. Cabin Crew were delivering them by hand and could only hold about five at a time, I was right at the back of a 744 so it took about half an hour for them to reach us

Had ice cream on Tuesday on UA from ORD-ANC in First. Two huge scoops. Also had it on UA from NRT-ORD on Tuesday. Also in First. Different flavors on each flight.
