Flying DL Connection CRJ-200 What To Expect.
Just wondoring what to Expect as I have never flown DL connection. I have flown the CRJ with UAex and USex and found it to be the most uncomfortable plane ive flown. Also my routing will CVG-PHL connecting from ABQ-CVG(MD-88) and back. I already know what to expect on Mainline but just the DL connection flights and also the service would be nice to know.

For service, expect snack basket and choice of drink starting when cruise altitude is reached if it's smooth. Planes are relatively uncomfortable...not much difference from one airline's CRJs to another's. Nothing really special to write home about...typical domestic service for pretty much any regional on a short 1-1.5 hour flight.

Expect exactly the same. It's the same plane.. the carpets might be a different colors and the leather seat covers might be blue instead of grey the service will be the same. The flight attendednt will ask you what you want to drink and hand you a bag of pretzels with your drink.

Make sure you tune into KrisWorld and check out the lie-flats on the CRJ.

They dont just hand a bag of pretzels out...DL gives a choice:
-Sunchips or Potato Chips
-Cheese Crackers
-Biscoff
-Granola Bar
-Peanuts

Some of the flights won't have all those options though...I did have one flight where it was just granola, and most flights have a full basket, but on some flights, it's maybe 3 or 4 of those...granola, peanuts and biscoff seem to be the most consistent. Nonetheless, you'll more than likely have a few choices to decide amongst, which is a pretty good deal.

You thought the CRJ was the most comfortable airplane you've flown? What other rides are on your list, C-130s and 2 seat cessnas?
I've flown CRJ-200s on DH, US (PSA) and all DL connection carriers, it's a terrible little airplane with tiny seats, limited recline, knee-high windows, etc. etc. Service on DL is the same as any other airline, I'd say. No complaints with that.

If you go back and read more carefully I said it was the most UNCOMFORTABLE plane ive flown. on a side not I take lessons on a 2 seat cessna 150.

My flight was long (ATL-MSP) so your short hop might not have these, but on my flight I was given a complimentary small snack box as well as biscoff cookies. It's the only food I've ever been given on a CRJ, as my Northwest and America West CRJ flights were all beverage only - and they were all at least two hours long. I was in the aisle and found it surprisingly comfortable (which on the CRJ means acceptably but not amazingly comfortable), but I'd avoid window seats unless you're the type of person that has to have one.

One trick with DL's CRJ-200s ... if you can snag a row 8 seat, snag it!
That's the exit row, and on a CRJ, that's a HUGE amount of extra leg room.
It's highly prized by the medallions though ...

Delta connecting isn't that bad actually. I fly them on a regular occasion from GPT - ATL. The flights are generally pleasent, and uneventful.
The FA are hit and miss however. Normally, on that route, they only carry a single FA. There have been times when, there have been two complete beverage trips on a 1 hour flight. There have been other times, when the FA sat on her jumpseat doing her nails and didn't start beverage service until nearly the time the pilot started his decent into Atlanta. This is most definately the exception rather than the rule.

If you want to look out the window, it is best to get an aisle seat.That way you can look out either side of the A/C without getting a creaked neck.

CRJ definitely most uncomfortable flying! Personally, I will choose other options when possible. Uncomfortable seat that is short, very little padding. Very little carry on storage room, any carryon bag of any size must be gate checked. The plane is loud in flight. Be careful or you'll hit your head on the ceiling when you stand up. I will tolerate it on a 1 hour flight, but I refuse to take some of the 2-2.5 hour trips DL flies these creatures on.

I took a DC/Comair CRJ flight once from FLL-CVG. It was much too long to be on that cramped an a/c! 
It was such a relief to be on mainline DL metal from CVG-SLC; a 762! (This was back in early 2001 I believe).
CVG-PHL shouldn't be very long, and more often than not you'll have the single f/a make a beverage/snack run.

I guess driving cross-country in a Geo Metro hatchback sounds more reasonable then?

Actually there are some benefits to the CRJ-200's that I like that seem to make the trip tolerable:
1) Quicker boarding so you don't have to spend too much time on the plane while everyone else boards.
2) Quicker deplaning.
3) You can drop off your larger carryon bags at the aircraft stairs before boarding so you don't have to fuss with them on the aircraft.
4) You can pick up the carryon at the aircraft stairs when deplaning. This eliminates baggage claim time.
5) Always a window or aisle seat.
Any others?

Stairs. Comair has their own terminal at CVG. You will arrive into the Delta terminal and then take a bus over to the Comair terminal. Check out Delta.com to see a layout of the airport and where to catch the bus depending upon which concourse you arrive at in CVG. It is quick and easy to get between terminals. The Comair terminal is like a bus depot (same as AE in DFW and UEX in ORD) but there should adequate seating and a variety of stores and places to eat if you want to take food on the plane. The terminal is set up like an X so you'll go to one of 4 waiting areas and they will eventually call your flight. When they do you go down a hall until you see the door for your flight and go out to the plane. IIRC they have covered paths to the planes so you won't be exposed to much in the way of elements.

Last May I flew with DL Connection (op. by Skywest) from YYC-SLC-LAS. Both legs were on the CRJ200. Legroom was good, service consisted of a beverage with a bag of pretzels (or something like that). I had a window seat and that can be a bit uncomfortable for a flight >2 hours. If you're a large person it's difficult to get a good view out of the window.
The FA on YYC-SLC was in a bad mood and grumpy, the one on SLC-LAS was cheerful and friendly.
Changing planes in SLC is a breeze and recommended.

You must not have gone thru JFK or ATL....JFK construction and an overload of Comair RJs is killing JFK. Taxi delays can range from 1-2.5 hrs on a daliy basis. At one point the taxi times were pretty good, averaging
less than 45 minutes...but not lately.
ATL... ASA is constantly changing A/C and seems to make the situation worse than it needs to be.
