Trip From EDI/GLA

Fri Feb 23, 2007 3:32 am

Hi again. I've booked a day trip for march but now looking at going somewhere in Europe for a couple of days in the first week of april as I have it off from uni. Anyone got any ideas about somewhere cheapish £100-150 for flights and 2/3 nights accomidation whether hostel or hotel.

Thanks guys.

Some rather general recommendations:

Ever been to Lisbon ?
Hotels (and the likes) are very affordable, especially when being compared to Barcelona or similar.

The mainstay tourists places (around the Mediterranean) probably will have too high fares & hotel rates yet, as the time in concern is pre-easter.

I would guess that Riga or the two Polish cities that Ryanair fly from PIK (Wroclaw & Kracow) would be the least expensive cities that offer direct flights.

Stockholm is nice, though expensive. And I once got my passport stolen there.

Just my 1 RMB

Cheers

Yeah.. I used to live in WAW so have been to Krakow many times and that's nice too. I forgot one could fly there from PIK. Not too far from Auschwitz if that interests you...

Going to Dublin. First time on Aer Lingus too.

Still don't know. Only want to stay for a max of 2 nights really, leaving the 2/3 april ideally.

Likewise, I usually use BA/FR there..
