I have been putting a trip to the USA together for a while now and it seems that as soon as I get close to being done another airline makes a change to my plans. so as it stands now.
SYD-AKL QF B767-300
AKL-LAX TN A340-300
LAX-LAS US A320 Operated by TED (Departure time changed by airline)
LAS-DEN F9 A319 Departure time changed and flight number changed by airline
DEN-ABQ F9 CRJ-700
ABQ-ORD UA EMB 170
ORD- CMH UA 737-500
CMH-ORD UA737-500
ORD BOI UA CRJ-700
BOI-LAX AS DHC Q400 Horizon Flight changed completely 6 hours later no longer via Seattle.
LAX-Papeete TN A340-300, Flight cancelled new flight 5 hours later.
Papeete -SYD TN A340-300
Leaving AUS August 29 and returning Sep 23
Very annoyed that My Alaska Airlines flight was changed to direct with Horizon.
I so want to fly on SCAT one day!

Quoting [email protected] (Reply 149):
You booked these now, then?

I was in MFM earlier this year (travelled HKG-MFM by boat, then flew from MFM the next day). If you need any info or advice about the airport/getting to from/etc, just ask me.

All booked indeed, although I didn't fly the CN235 - it was cancelled due to their being not enough passengers grumpy  I flew the Asian Spirit BAe146-100 instead to MNL (nice jumpseat landing at MNL - so made up for the cancellation) and the D328-100 back as planned. So tomorrow instead of taking the 146 to MNL, I hopefully take the CN235 an hour earlier, and if that's cancelled again I wait until it makes it's return to Cebu in the evening and fly it there, before going back to MNL on a Philippine Airlines A333 and taking an early morning bus to Clark for the Tiger Airways flight.

I won't be in MFM for long, I have 9 hours to transit to HKG so I plan to find a place to shoot a few aircraft from, then do the same once I get to HKG. I don't fancy missing my flight back home - too broke now to afford another one! silly

For me-

7/16/07

AA802 SNA-DFW 738
AA86 DFW-ORD 777 (first time on an AA 777!)
AA4055 ORD-ALB ERD (first time on a Jungle Jet)

7/21/07

UA25 JFK-LAX 757 (first time on PS!)
UA5446 LAX-SNA EM2

I wish I could afford an upgrade or something on one of the flights, but alas... I'm a single 19-year-old bachelor.

13.07.07 ZRH - MAN
21-07-07 MAN - ZRH

On LX, using Helvetic wetlease F100 - haven't been on one of those for years!

Next one likely

ZRH - YEG and back at the end of this month, either on AC via YYZ or on LX via YUL or ORD. Hopefully it'll be LX, their A332s are much better than the AC 767 I took last month.

Sun Jul 22, 2007 2:39 pm

I have had 27 individual alterations to my original itinerary and only 2 of those were my doing.
departure times were changed by as much as 5 hours, flight numbers were changed with no notification, and a few aircraft changes as well. I sometimes why I bother booking flights to get a certain aircraft or Airline because by the time I get to the airport everything is different.
So as it stands now,
SYD-AKL QF 767-300
AKL-PPT TN A340-300
PPT-LAX TN A340-300
LAX-LAS UA A320 TED
LAS-DEN F9 A319
DEN-ABQ F9 CRJ-700
ABQ-ORD UA Emb 170
ORD-CMH UA 737-300 (was 737-500)
CMH-ORD UA A319 (Was also a 737-500)
ORD-BOI UA CRJ-700 (over 3.5 hours on a CRJ! Cool!)
BOI-SEA AS DHC-8Q400
SEA-LAX AS 737-800 (originally an MD80, then 734)
LAX-PPT TN A340-300
PPT-SYD TN A340-300

01.08.2007 ... Alitalia ... LHR-FCO ... A321
01.08.2007 ... Ukraine International ... FCO-KBP ... B737
08.08.2007 ... Ukraine International ... KBP-FCO ... B737
08.08.2007 ... Alitalia ... FCO-LHR ... A320
12.08.2007 ... Classic Flight/Air Atlantique ... PLH-PLH ... Dakota

I'm a little worried about the AZ flights, I just hope I'm not left stranded somewhere is they go belly up! The sightseeing flight on the Dakota should be awesome, just hope the English weather doesn't spoil everything.

I'm going to the USA for the first time... and i'm so excited!

21/10/07
CI 54 BNE-TPE 333; 5hr 50 minute layover
CI 4 TPE-SFO 744

Somewhere in the middle...
VX LAX-JFK
VX JFK-LAX

04/11/07
CI 5 LAX-TPE 744; 1 hour 35 minute connection
05/11/07 (arr. 06/11/07)
CI 53 TPE-BNE 343

I'm really hoping that the flight home is the Dreamliner from LAX and that the equipment from TPE stays as an A340-300... would be my first time on one!

I'm also excited about flying Virgin America. I chose VX over DL, B6 and WN for my first ever transcon flight. It looks like a great way to fly!
