Delta's Diffrent Looks

Tue Sep 18, 2007 8:06 am

I thought I would make this post to see what people think of diffrent looks of Delta over the last few years. I will put all pics of planes side by side so you can see them and then you can choose your favorite one and let us all know. Understand I am only using current aircraft. I am not doing old liveriers on planes no longer in thier fleet.

MD-88

B-757/B-757/WINGLET

B-767

CRJ-200

ERJ-145/ERJ-WINGLET

So now cast your vote for each. If I have missed something please let me know.
This did take me awhile to put together. So I hope you enjoy it.

For the MD-80s I like the new livery

For the 757 the Wavy Gravy

For the 767 the Widget

Great collection of pics. Its interesting to consider the liveries on each fleet type rather than the fleet as a whole.

Thanks for your input and your welcome too. I really do want to see what the 737-800's will look like with the new paint as well as the 777. think about this one what would it look like if they still had the 727 and painted it in the new look.

Widget colors look best on the 767.
I like the 757 & the CRJ in the 1997 scheme.
The ERJ looks best in the 2000 colors.
The MD-88 looks good in the new colors.

Here's a somewhat little known ERJ-145 in the Ron Allen colors:

All I can say is that the new corporate look is quite sharp and impressive...very clean and it is great to see the widget back....

Can't wait to see the 764 and 777 sporting the new livery!

I really wish they would keep a variety, like USAirways, they dont just have one, they have one for their main fleet, but bring in some variety, like flagships.

Funny how when the new livery came out, most of us on a.net (including me) HATED it! The new livery spelled the end for Delta. Now that it has grown on me a little bit, I think this livery looks best on all of the aircraft shown above, except the 767. I'm sure lots of you still hate it, and will continue to hate it, but for me, it's definitely grown on me.

Cheers!

MD-88- The newest one looks sharp, and dare I say sexy? The oldest MD-88 colors reminds me of Alitalia.

757 - With out winglets in the 2nd colors, billowing flags or whatever

B767 - Definatly the oldest colors shown, fantastic on the 767

CRJ200 - Oldest Colors, looks cool. They should do a retro paint of this one

ERJ 145 - Old colors, again, billowing flag . . .

Just say NO to scabs.

my votes on the current fleet

Boeing 737-300 - Widget

Boeing 737-800 - Wavy Gravy would be nice to see the new scheme though

Boeing 757-200 - Brand New (but only with Winglets) otherwise Wavy Gravy

Boeing 767-300/400 - Wavy Gravy

Boeing 777 - Wavy Gravy

Mc Donnell Douglas MD-80/90 - Brand New

Regional Jets - Brand New

overall i love the new "DELTA" typeface but prefer the Wavy Gravy Tail design

For me it's gotta be wavy gravy on all of them. Possibly one of my all time favourite colour schemes!
