What Airlines Give Amenity Kits In Y Class

Mon Dec 31, 2007 5:11 am

In the last years I have flown quite a lot of long haul flights with . As far as I can remember only South African , Delta and TAM gave amenity kits in Y class (in the last years since 2001 my longhaul flights have been with IB, KL, JJ, DL,SAA). IB give socks but I don't consider this a full amenity kit.

Could anyone add to this list

South African

Delta

TAM

I think US Airways did or one of the US airlines- although I am not a 100% sure

I doubt most of the people who left on that flight left saying IB rocked their socks  duck

Out of ten airlines I flew in the last few years only QF & TN gave me amenity kits in Y class on flights between AKL-LAX.

They do not give it on daylight flights.

QR gives it away but only during nightflights.  Smile

Some British charter airlines do, eg First Choice, Thomsonfly, My Travel (might not do now they are Thomas Cook). As already mentioned, Air France and Air Mauritius as well. I'll let you know about Bmi (long haul) after I fly to Antigua with them in March!

I once got an amenity kit on EK380 from DXB to HKG which was a daytime flight. got nothing on QR or EY though. sie seems that amenity kits are sometimes given out rather randomly!!

No, they don't. I very recently flew CDG-EWR-CDG and received nothing apart from headphones. The PTVs were extremely small and not AVOD. Alcohol was not free of charge and food portions were very small. I won't take CO again unless I have to  Smile

They are no smaller than the ones on BA, for example. And they are putting new, larger PTVs in with AVOD.

No free alcohol doesn't bother me and the portions in pictures I've seen don't seem any different than other airlines.

BA does on long haul flights, but I don't know if that applies to 777's but I assume so. On all of my BA 744 flights, I have received an amenity kit with eye shades, a tooth brush, socks, and tooth paste I think. Nothing fancy, but a nice gesture.

I don't think so.. Granted, B6199 left JFK at 10 something pm.. I was on B6198 that left LAS at 11:15pm 2 years ago and I got one.. I think you only get them on red-eye flights..
