One Sweet 773ER!

Thu Feb 07, 2008 3:37 pm

From the Boeing website:

http://boeing.com/commercial/news/2008/q1/080206e_pr.html

IMO, that is the most BEAUTIFUL 777-300ER I've ever seen!!!!!!!!!!! CX should make that their standard livery!

No match for B-HOY, the real grand "Asias World City" jet!

Very nice, but if BMI ever decided to buy the 77w, we'd see a real stunner.

Very average if you ask me. A BMI 777 would be stunning!

The livery is great, it's the plane that spoils it!

I don't think any aircraft looks as graceful as the Asia's World City 747-400 with RR engines.

Right. A nice gown doesn´t make a beauty out of a 6 feet 5 tall girl. She still looks odd.
Even this livery does not completely mask the disproportioned design of the 773.

Big difference to the perfectly balanced 744 B-HOY. So better look at this:

Looks pretty sweet, if I'm honest, I don't think there's a bad looking livery on the T7.

It's one of those planes that just carries a paint scheme so well, in my opinion, much like the DC10.

I think Cathay's livery is one of the classiest around. No change required.

Aesthetically I Never liked the 777 that much, especially the -300s. The "forehead" pisses me off - it's huge. And the empennage isn't that smooth.

Prefer the 767 and the 747 - far more curvier.

This version of the 777 is nice, but i think AA and MH have the nicest 777s.

All IMO of course.

LH livery would look best at the T7 in my opinion.

Nice! A beautiful aircraft nonetheless. I have to say the best looking 77W is this one:

My vote for best livery still goes to the Malaysian Airlines special 777 livery, along with, of course, Peter Max.

I have to admit, that while the CX special livery looks sweet on the 773ER, honestly, I looks better on the 744.

I think SA's livery looks best on planes that aren't too long. The A343 and 744 come to mind.
A good landing is one you can walk away from. A great landing is if the aircraft can be flown again.

It's a real eye catcher ... however what caught my eye was the Jet Airways 77W parked at a certain angle at JFK. My first sighting of it I had a double-take (which actually almost caused me to go into opposite traffic.  Smile

It definitely is a sweet combo, I however agree it looks better on the 744, and I also noticed that the dragon on the 777 is much smaller than in the original design

The "asia's world city" livery is indeed colorful and imaginative but it doesn't work so well on either plane. The straight lines and stark colors of the tail clash with the fluid lines and jewel tones on the fuselage. It might look good if they redesigned the tail colors. But yes the dark blue/green fuselage does look too much like Vietnam Airlines.

That thing looks amazing. They should have that be the standard livery. The Etihad looks great also.

yes  That looks much nicer than their standard, bland euro-white livery.

It looks even better on the 744!

Cathay Pacific did turn out a nice C/S, but my all-time favourite goes to another relative newcomer to the 77W party:
