Depends on the female/male wearing it.  Silly

You can leave current WN uniforms out of the contest though.  duck

Ohhh...love the pics! I'm not sure how I feel about the Quantas uniform. At first I was a bit disturbed, it looks silk, and it's kind of busy, and then I thought, WOW, you could wear that dress to work, and then out to dinner on your layover!  Smile What more could you ask for? But the guy, the hot bald one, umm....what's up with the open shirt? Certainly you wouldn't see that on the airplane. So please, if you can, post more pics and tell me why you like the uniforms. Details, please! I have a flight attendant blog and would love to blog about this topic sometime soon.

SHAMROCK - I think you're right about baldy...at least I hope you're right. He looks like he could be based in MIA. LOL

STARALLIANCE - Oh you're bad...and I love it! I'll be using that on the blog - the bit about the zipper. One of these days. Hopefully soon. There's way too much to blog about lately. I need to learn the lingo here...SL? FL? What's so great about the tie? I need details!

OHBOYFLY - Black boots, Yeah baby! Very Austin Powers. I'm sorry to tell your wife, but I think they're back, because I've been seeing them a lot lately (well this winter I did), and I'm not quite sure how I feel about them....I mean leather and cheap polyester...something about that just doesn't seem right to me. But I'm glad you reminded me of the black boots, because I'll be blogging about flight attendant shoes tmrw (just bought a new pair myself) and I want to add those to the list. Black boots. Black boots....

NQYGUY & SAA - Why do you like them, exactly?

In my opinion, the best ones are

Air France- very classy, very French
BA- looks more traditional but also quite modern and a welcome relief from two decades of patterned blouses and long grey skirts
Virgin- you can't beat a uniform in red
Delta- finally a US airline with a decent and attractive uniform
Etihad- the best at combining Arabian and Western styles, I think.

Hi skydoll! OK quick A.netters 101. See what I did above this text? Its called quoting the selected text. What you do is highlight the text and then hit the "quote selected text" button. It saves a lot of time!

Many A.netters use the 2 letter IATA code to talk about airlines. For example, when I say US, I mean US Airways. Here's a quick list:

AA-American
CO-Continental
DL-Delta
NW-Northwest
UA-United
US-US Airways
WN-Southwest

FL is AirTran Airways and I love their tie design for the captains. Its a sleek black tie with a gold "fat-A" on the field. I have to wear ties everyday, so at least I can wear a tie I like  Smile

BTW, about this quote:

Quoting StarAlliance38 (Reply 9):
Any female dress with a zipper.....easier to take off

Thank you for the compliment (I think)! Feel free to use that quote, but if somebody asks for who made it up. Say me please  Smile

If there is a code (airline or airport) you see but don't know, simply move your cursor over it and the name of the airline/airport in question will appear next to your cursor.

You should fly their competitors then.

The ladies of Sterling (low cost) wear the same knee high boots! Tres sexy!

Ia Orana All !

Same as FlySSC, Air France by Lacroix but also the traditional tahitian 'purotu" dress worn by the tahitian cabin attendants on the Tahiti flights. Those dresses were inherited from UTA when the two airlines merged in the early 1990's.

I like the Air France and Korean air ones the best they are very classy and elegant:
Big version: Width: 475 Height: 351 File size: 180kb

I also like the QF one, esp the black dress on the girls or the skirt not a huge fan of the print dress, we used to measure how bigs the girls butts were by how many boomerangs we stretched across them, a four was okay anything more than that and you had a whole corroboree!!!! And a butt to match!
Big version: Width: 251 Height: 336 File size: 14kb

On a side note I prefer the blue print dress of the QF ground staff, apparently some one made a mistake and the the uniforms were supposed to be the other way round brown for earth blue for sky. Heads rolled for that one!

Man, I wish I were an Air France FA! That uniform is amazing. I love it. Kind of disappointed in the Virgin American look. Thanks FLYSSC for all the pics....That was great.

I flew Thai last year from NY to Bangkok and was blown away by how beautiful their uniforms were. Gorgeous silk straight skirt that went to ankle length and a beautiful silk top with buttons down the front and 3/4 length sleeves. A beautiful silk sash complemented the whole outfit and then a each female flight attendant wore a fresh orchid. Total class. It was amazing. Blows away anything I have ever seen here in America. And I am a f/a here in the states, so I see my share of uniforms. Koreans are also very beautiful

Ive always wondered the TG FAs inflight uniforms never seem to match though yet in their advertising they do. Do the girls have to provided their own inflight uniforms or are they company provieded? I think it would be better if they all wore the purple ones like they do in the adds and the safety demo.

On a side note, those turtle neck tops the delta blokes wear makes them look like gangsters or bouncers lol!!

PSA in California used to have some amazing uniforms.

I imagine things were quiet in the aisles with most of the male passengers firmly planted in their seats with woodies. Now we know why aisle seats are the businessman's preference Wink

You CANNOT go wrong with the red, VS is still for me, the best out there and nothing prepares you for the purple/red when you fly them for the fist time. You see the pics and videos, but when you are boarding and the purple/red canvas hits you... OMG. It looks GREAT!!!

For clothing, it's hard to beat the traditional Jordanian robes that some of the F/As wear on Royal Jordanian.

A bad example is in Reply 3 of this awesome Trip Report -

https://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo...ums/trip_reports/read.main/123877/

I've seen better ones...

Best cabin crew is a toss up between British Airways and Qantas - no-one touches them in the skies.
