Trip to Hanoi is looking iffy - my passport is full, no room for a Vietnam visa, so we're going to try and persuade them to use a page with just one stamp on it. Most annoying.

Darn, can you not get extra pages, or is it a British passport you have?

Just booked one more flight and, this one should be a bit special; it's the first ever flight by WizzAir Ukraine... which just about makes up for it being on an A320 Big grin

Why does a universal superpower oligarch like you need a passport...and if you have one, why don't you have a diplomatic passport, are you to poor to bribe the respective government ?

Just booked for a minor mileage run, I'm not sure if the good price I got was due in part to the UA fuel surcharge error.

UA
June 3
MKE-ORD CRJ2
ORD-RDU E170
RDU-IAD 777
IAD-ORD 733
ORD-MKE E145

$161 I signed up for UA credit card so I got a $50 credit and 15,000 extra miles.

DL STL-ATL-DAB 6-26
US DAB-CLT-STL 6-29
NW STL-DTW 7-9
NW/KL DTW-AMS-MAN 7-15
KL MAN-AMS-DTW 7-23
NW DTW-STL 7-31
NW STL-MSP-SFO 8-6
NW SFO-MSP-STL 8-12

The DL and US flights are being paid for by a conference's sponsor that I am going to. Those will be my first domestic flights on an airline other than NW since 2001. Other than that all of my 2008 flights will be for fun.

I am sure there will be a few more flights this year probably four more segments.

Already flown this year, in March and April were:

NW DTW-FRA
LH FRA-LEJ
LH LEJ-FRA
NW FRA-DTW
NW DTW-STL
NW STL-DTW
NW DTW-STL
NW STL-DTW

I guess I cheat a little bit. They are booked, so likely to happen. If something changes, I update my flight memory. I have quite a few flights that I have booked, but haven't yet flown that appear on my flight memory.

Edit: I just realized with all those flights, I've flown more miles than you  Wink

Everyone has more miles than me!! I'm always put to shame in those "post your flight memory" threads.

The only difference is though, I pay $0.00 for mine.  Big grin

Well, I am going to EZE for a month this year so that flight will be booked soon.

I am also in the process of booking my family's flights to BER pending final approval from my mother. We might also go to PRG, so that could be a flight.

Also, this is 2009, but I am in the process of going skiing with my father in Courchevel, so I am urging him to just book the QR flight soon!

Hard to come by. I've booked a backup ticket (in case my biz trips get canned) to the US for my holiday using DL miles, but 50,000 mile awards were only available on CO flights - still, can't beat the price.  Smile

How much will your GYD-EVL-GYD flights cost?

Also, how it is possible to fly KBP-SIP and SIP-LWO when they're completely different flights with 30 minutes between scheduled arrival and departure? I realise you'll have a e-ticket, but how will you make it?

To be honest, I really don't know! I'm taking a known chance with that, but as it's the first flight of the day I'm just hoping for a little leniency with the timings (1h 35 min block time for a 400 mile flight, so about an hour flying time, if that and hopefully an on time departure. If I know that it's going to be tight, I can always try small talking the stewardesses,  Wink plus I'm sure there is going to be a lot of PR people around both flights), but if I can't get on it then it's not the end of the world; SIP-LWO-KBP cost about £30/40 all in, - and I'm still in SIP which is where I want to end up that day. If I can't get on the WizzAir flight though I'll probably fly back to KBP with AeroSvit (hopefully on the B737-200, which along with a Lugansk Airlines An-24 is something else I'm looking at doing) and then take my UKIA flight back in the evening as planned.

Quoting [email protected] (Reply 93):

No idea, I've heard so many reports (ranging from $4 each way up to about $80 each way), but will check when I go to the Azerbaijan Embassy in a few weeks to collect my visa. To be honest, I'm not that bothered how much they will cost, I just want to fly the Tu134 and Tu154 with that airline.

That's a little brave, don't you think ? This is an LCC remember, they don't do through check-in and they are likely to close check in 30 minutes before departure, which will be before the flight even lands. Do they do web check-in ? I doubt it. You might be lucky and get away with it, but I'd book a backup ticket in case.

GBP30-40 all in now. What will it be on day of departure ? Might be worth checking.

With AeroSvit I'm not entirely sure (doesn't appear to change from the regular steep price of $140 o/w, certainly for travel tomorrow there is no price difference to booking months in advance - but it won't let you book for today, so I can't be 100% sure), but with Lugansk it's constant.

40 mins actually, as I say, I'm just going to chance it, if not then it's hardly the end of the world because I have backups.

Well, here´s my list of flights made this year so far:

20.01. STR-VIE on OS CRJ-200
20.01. VIE-STR on OS DH 8-400
22.01. HHN-BGY on FR B 737-800
22.01. BGY-NUE on AB B 737-800
22.01. NUE-FRA on AB A 320
16.02. STR-OLB on X3 B 737-700
16.02. OLB-STR on X3 B 737-700
05.03. STR-TXL on X3 B 737-700
09.03. TXL-FKB on AB B 737-700

And here are flights already booked:

25.10. FRA-BAH on GF A 330-300
25.10. BAH-BKK on GF A 340-300
15.11. MNL-AUH on EY B 777-200
16.11. AUH-FRA on EY A 330-300

But "between BKK and MNL" there are still a number of flights not yet booked. I´m still in the planning ...
Maybe i can include Thai Oasis B 747-100 (BKK-HKG) ???

but 50,000 mile awards were only available on CO flights

I had the same thing on DL.com - only CO flights with the dreaded daylight eastbounds available

Funnily enough, every time I re-submitted the search more and more flights came up as available - especially the NWA SEA-LHR service

In my case I really found it to be true what they say about booking award seats early on a Tuesday morning, when all the reserved but not confirmed inventory gets put back in the system.

Then again, DL.com did freeze up a couple of times and in 3 cases actually didn't construct a return segment, so I left it to stew for an hour and then came back at it fresh - the award ticket voodoo worked...
