The Most Complicated Airline Logo

Sat May 24, 2008 6:11 am

Hi everybody!

I don't know how many airlines are now in the world. I guess several thousands.
I wonder which one of currently active airlines has the most complicated logo.

Criteria of complexity can be like this:
- number of small details,
- number of different colors,
- complicated transitions between colors,
- complex shape of the logo
or any other things that make the logo really difficult to paint on the aircraft.

Cheers,

Sergey

Norwegian Air Shuttle ( Norwegian ). The logo itself is not complicated, but the faces of the famous Norwegians that they got on the airplanes tales is perhaps ?

US Airways has an odd shape. The rectangle in the corner is not really propotioned with the lines. The lines are also hard to space considering the rectangle. The heritage logo at the door is also detailed. The US Airways sports plane liveries and some heritage liveries are detailed too

Yeah...

Alaska Airlines - Eskimo and fonts are complicated.
Air Canada - they use special effect and complicated shadows on the maple leaves
Emirate - hard to draw a bird
MEA - too many curve lines around the tree.
Virgin atlantic, blue and other virgin airlines - hard to draw the outline of virgin.

I like Midwest, but their logo is horrendous:

Very complicated, and unclear, particularly when viewed at any distance.
