Best Legroom On A Lowcost Airline

Hey,

What is the best lowcost airline that you have flown with in terms of legroom in coach.
Mine is ThomsonFly 738, I am tall (6ft 2") and I am always cramped up in coach class, but Thomson was great, it was like being in premium economy in long haul, leather seats and i could actually stretch my legs out! :O

Air Southwest call themselves 'low' cost and their legroom is great.

I can imagine Air Berlin offers good legroom, their reviews are always positive.

I would say JetBlue. 38in. seat pitch in the new front seats and 34in. in the regular seats. I didn't feel cramped at all.

I don't think so. Their 737-800s used extensively on their European network have 186 seats, just 3 less than the maximum certified seating capacity of 189 (e.g. Ryanair). That usually means seat pitch of about 31 inches.

I don't know if EI can be considered as "low-cost", but i'm always happily surprised to see that my knees are not touching the back seat in front of me when I travel on their planes.

Not like the BAe Avro RJ of WX that is simply a nightmare to me!!

I think EI are known as low cost across the industry now but the leg room is always quite good, it was 32in the last time I checked.

I find Southwest's 34in. seat pitch awesome, but especially any carrier's exit row Big grin

I found Flyglobalspan to be good when i flew them 2 years ago, much better than Squeezy jet or Ryanair

Nearly all of them call themselves LCC's, but in actuality charge alot regardless. Especially Air Southwest.

They were about average I found, but no better than the other two - I guess it may depend which aircraft you get and how it's configured. I don't find FR a problem, the legroom isn't that bad, the only downer is that the seat backs are hard plastic, which isn't comfortable for your legs.

lol when I first read that line it made me think of cinema style seats (with the bottoms that are on hinges and flip-up)
