Marriott Renaissance At ATL

Wed Aug 06, 2008 11:53 pm

I have a 6 hour layover at ATL on Friday from 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm and I'm thinking of paying the $75 charge to get a room over looking the airport during the afternoon. For anyone who has done this before, is it worth it?

The Renaissance (didn't know they were owned by Marriott, who knew?!?) has some awesome views of the runways, and overlooks the concourses well, albeit at a distance. For $75, I'd say go for it!

Cheers,
Cameron

P.S. You might get a few more responses if you tried to move this to Polls and Prefs.
Cheers,
Cameron

I knew Big grin! It came to a surprise to me too.

$75 bucks for a hotel like the Renaissance, I say take it. Just ask the front desk for an airport view.

absolutely yes....the view is great...I go for long weekend stays and have a blast...note of caution, if its the middle of the day and its summer it will get quite hot on the balcony!

Why not just go to the bar there and watch? save some money. Factoring in travel to/from the hotel, you wont even be there for 6 hours...
Doors open, right hand side, next stop is Springfield.
