Quoting HT (Reply 24):

Will post my flights later, once I have booked everything for the CWL-DUB flight/meeting).

Ahh, good news to hear that you are attending, thanks for the information on BZY, I believe I drove past it during the summer, but by that time it was pitch dark and we still had to make it to Kishinev that night.

Quoting DYflyer (Reply 25):
My mistake . I was thinking of Kiev, but the codes there are of course KBP/IEV.

No worries Rune - I hear that the flight is very close to the go ahead, literally just a few more people are required to get the go ahead Big grin

Quoting OHLHD (Reply 28):
I am thinking about taking it as well but I don´t know if I can get off. I wish that aircraft came a little closer then KIV.

KIV is a bit of a difficult one to get to, can you non rev though, as Austrian fly there I believe? Failing that, try flying into OTP and then taking an internal Tarom ATR42-500 up to Iasi, which is not for from the Moldovan border and Kishinev itself, I believe it's about a €5 bus ride between the two. Or fly into KBP, take a Yak42 down to ODS, and take one of the buses from there to Kishinev... just make sure you get the ones which go around the breakaway republic, think they were about €5-10 one way.

I am still counting the beans whether i should sign up or not. Very tempted though. With the strong Euro compared to the Norwegian Krone the price has increased 20 % for me lately, and i have a couple of other trips and things going on. But since Wizzair has started flying between KBP and TRF i should at least be able to get a cheap flight in to the region.

That was my problem, I'm now glued to the exchange rate charts on - in the past 5 days the rate has changed favorably and has saved me about £30 already, at one point the pound was like for like with the Euro!  grumpy  I think it's falling compared with all currencies, so hopefully by the end of Jan it'll be even better!

I have a temporary transfer to Koror Palau that runs till May however I have been given one return trip home in Febuary and then return permanently to Sydney in May.
I have yet to book either trip.
Out of ROR there seems to be only CO to GUM, I've seen no other airliner since I've been here but the CO 738.
From GUM the choices seem to be Manila, HKG and Narita, Tokyo, and then from either of those to SYD. In any case a trip of about 22 hours for a distance that could be flown in about 6 hours direct! Are you listening Continental? Pacific Blue maybe? Jetstar?
I remember when the DC-3 was new!

Hopefully I'm going to visit some relatives in Germany, so there will be my excitement.

Still all domestic, but some GREAT travel plans have opened up for me:

February, 2009: SAN-HNL-ITO on HA - 767-300's and 717's - first time wide-body departure from SAN and first time on a 717!!

April, 2009: SAN-IAH-FLL-IAH-SAN on CO - I have only flown CO once (red-eye flight), and I have never flown through IAH. Unfortunately, the schedule changed, and I will not get to experience a 757-300 on this trip  Sad

June, 2009: SAN-DFW-FSM, FSM-DFW-CHS, CHS-DFW-SAN on AA and Eagle - I am looking forward to visiting family and seeing Charleston, SC.

September, 2009: SAN-SFO on VX - seeing what the hype is about!!

September, 2010: SAN-Deutschland for Oktoberfest - I finally have a work schedule that will allow me to visit at this time!!

I only have the one return flight booked for this year, and it looks as though it'll stay that way for the foreseeable future!

BHX - FRA LH4907 733
FRA - BHX LH4904 733

It wasn't half a chore to book it though, as LH don't take anything but credit cards online, so I had to book via phone, getting a £10 booking fee in the process, and then being told my card had been rejected because the wrong card number had been entered... because the guy on the end of the phone was adamant he couldn't fit my card number in the space given! Bit strange when all card numbers are 16 digits...  Confused Anyway, I eventually found a credit card to use and that payment has, seemingly, gone through okay! Way to go LH... get a better website please!

I am planning to go back to Pakistan in December 2009, but am not sure of the airline I am going to go on. My first priority will be to get a direct flight from MAN to ISB with PK. However if not then I can got for EK,EY,QR or SV.

Wow, with all the flights some of the people here are taking, I wonder they have time to post on this forum!

I travel a lot for work but it is always random and I am never able to book or even confirm trips more than 3 weeks in advance of taking them. At the moment all I have on my radar is LHR - DOH in late February. This will be on BA in J (744).

Private trips I have planned are:

March LHR - VIE on BA in J on an A319 I should think
May LON - EFL (still in planning stage so don't know how or with whom yet)
August LTN - PMA return on ZB (flew them last year and they weren't bad at all)
December LHR - SYD on QF in J - hopefully on the A380 or else it will be a 744
I only turn left when boarding aircraft. Well, mostly. All right, sometimes. OH OKAY - rarely.
