WT Plus Cabin On BA's 744s

Tue Apr 21, 2009 1:57 pm

In late 07 I flew on one of BA's 744s configured with the new CW product, albeit I was in WT+. I thought it was interesting that the WT+ cabin on the bird is located between the F and CW cabins on the main deck. I am wondering if the WT+ passengers are under "house arrest" on long flights, to ensure they don't intrude into the F cabin W/Cs or CW self-serve food and beverage station. I did neither, by the way.
Maggs swings, it's a drive deep to left! The Tigers are going to the World Series!!!

Heh, interesting question. I have no idea... But I think the configuration has changed now, and the WT+ cabin is in front of the WT and back of the CW cabin.
We have clearance, Clarence. Roger, Roger. What's our vector, Victor?

I guess not.

States that BA is going to fit all their 744s with this configuration. At least, this is what Seatguru says, I don't know how reliable they are.

However, I'm quite interested, too as I'm travelling in WT+ in july.

You can wander into the Club kitchen, steal their food and become the most hated passenger on the flight. Like most WT+ passengers.

First is pretty much restricted.

Like most pax in general or like most pax stealing the food?

I mean what should they hate me for?

Well I guess.

There are two versions of BA's 744.
This one has the WT+ cabin is in front of the WT and back of the CW cabin as I described in my previous post: http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Bri...itish_Airways_Boeing_747-400_B.php
I was on one as late as 27. Jan 09 (JFK - LHR)..

Sure, thats possible, I didn't say it wasn't, did I?
I only said, that Seatguru states, that BA is going to fit all the 744s with the config I posted. Seatgutu clearly says:

Quote:
Currently, thirty-one of British Airways' 747-400s are configured with 52 Club World seats, as shown below. BA plans to outfit their entire fleet of 747s with this layout.

So if I'm not totally mistaken, there are some around with your posted config, but they will be converted sooner or later to the config I posted.

This is an error with seatguru. The configs will not be changed and the two MID J and High J configs will be kept
We'd like to welcome in particular our Executive Club members and those joining us from our Oneworld alliance partners.

Normal WT+ passengers are just mildly detested.  Big grin
