Iberia MAD-MEX A346 Or A343? And Seat Assignment.

Fri Aug 14, 2009 11:03 am

I'm booked on IB6403 MAD-MEX on the 29th of Sep. and IB6402 MEX-MAD on the 13th of Oct. The flightplan only states A340. Does anyone happen to know if its a A346 or A343?

Aswell, does anyone know how to get a seat assignment right now rather than a day before departure via Online-Checkin? (booked via expedia)

Many Thanks in advance

IB6402 is a mix of 343 and 346. Will come down to bookings and equipment required on that day!

Well in the other hand you have another option get the ib plus frequent flyer card or any other form OW FF programs. That also will help you if you have a cheaper fare that doesn't allow seat resrvations. Also you can checking online 36 hrs before departure or the last chance is ask at the checking desk the day of your trip for these seats on a343 8A-C 8J-L OR 22A-C 22J-L.On A346 10A-C/J-L 22A-C/J-L 37AC/J-L.all of them are in the side of 2 seats on the emrgency exit rows.On both planes the configuration in economy is standard 2-4-2 in business class 2-2-2.

so i hope this will help on your way to MEX .  Big grin

You can call IB reservation center and ask them to book your seats.
I've done it a few times when I had problems to book them online and they did it.

Enjoy your IB flight  Smile

As far as I know, there's no way to get a seat assignment before the day of the trip unless you're an IB Plus card holder.

I have travelled with IB lots of times, and each time I want to get my preferred seat when booking, the call center agent always asks me if I'm an IB Plus member, because otherwise I'll have to wait until I check in at the airport to get my seat.

Don't know if this is how it works for everyone, but at least that has been my case.

Not sure if you can get your seat after booking through another site. No problem if you book through iberia.com though.
