RE: Your 2010 Booked Flights

Wed Dec 30, 2009 4:10 pm

Just booked a couple as a Birthday present to myself. Objective was to achieve BRS-BHX for a price lower than the train (£24.75 ish), so instead of travelling 100 miles overland, I'll now be travelling 3000 miles via Morocco, plus a couple of days to see Marrakesh.

26.01.2010 ... BRS-RAK ... Ryanair ... B737-8AS (£5)
28.01.2010 ... RAK-LTN ... Ryanair ... B737-8AS (£13.50)

Will then carry on to Birmingham on a funfair with National Express.

Quoting C8fromONT (Reply 1):
3. MBJ-PHX-ONT US Airways

Ooohh....I would love to see how this service turned out  Smile

The following are my confirmed flights for 2010. The ones in parentheses are choices for a same-day change with US Airways. The airports within the stars are my optimal airports. If you have any tips, please comment  Smile.

-----Vancouver 2010 Olympics-----
25 February: US Airways
PHF-CLT-(*DFW*.IND.MCI.STL.ATL.CMH)-PHX-YVR

1 March: Virgin America
YVR-SEA by Amtrak Cascades-Business Class
SEA-LAX

2 March: Air Canada
LAX-YYC-YVR

4 March: US Airways
YVR-PHX-(*LAS*.STL.IND.MCI.DTW.DEN.)-CLT-PHF

I'm going to a convention in November in ATL, so I'll probably fly US again  Smile.
I also have a Delta award ticket I need to burn. I don't want to use it to ATL because it would only be two flights for my 25,000.

Cheers to 2010!

None!   Although I said that last year around this time and ended up with 31 flights for that year, this one is gonna be different. I'm gonna be swamped with work until the summer, and after that I'm starting a new study.

However I still have a 1000 Dollar UA voucher which I am determined to spend!

I know how you feel, the majority of my travels are just going to be ways between home and university which involve flying. Anything rather than the train twice a week.

Only one flight booked so far:

05 March IST-HKG on TK J class

12 March HKG-IST on TK J class

There will definitely be a tag on to these flights as I will not spend 12 days in Hong Kong. And those flights will most probably be HKG-CEB-HKG on CX...

So far I have this coming up for next year:

26/02/2010

ARN-VIE
VIE-ZRH

04/03/2010

ZRH-VIE
VIE-ZRH

Could have flown nonstop, but I really want to fly on the Fokker 70 and 100 before they all are gone, therefore I chose to fly with Austrian Airlines (Arrows)

Will book in the next few weeks my flight to LAX. Looking around like crazy for some interesting itineraries to add some new aircraft and airlines/airports to my log.

Exerpt taken from the 2009 Flights thread:

No air travel plans as of yet for 2010, although a possible flight itinerary may be in the works for a short weekend visit w/my mother in Marblehead, MA (either late February/early March).

Flights will most likely be PHL-MHT r/t (US or WN), PHL-PVD r/t (US or WN) or maybe ATL-BOS r/t (via NK) or even BWI-BOS r/t (B6, FL or WN).

A PHL-BOS r/t itinerary is out of the question due to costs unless either FL restarts the service or WN finally starts offering it.

RE: Your 2010 Booked Flights

Sat Jan 02, 2010 6:21 pm

My booked flights so far (and I'm saying "so far" because I hope I can do other flights to visit places in Europe):

19.02: MX 378 SJO-MEX (Airbus A318), LH 499 MEX-FRA (Boeing 747)
20.02: LH 18 FRA-HAM (Airbus A321)

As for upcoming flights (and hopefully once I have a regular income back home in Germany), maybe I'll take flights just to visit places. In the future, as far as Europe domestic, some of my destinations would be FCO, NCE (which would be followed by a drive to Italy to visit relatives in Imperia), BRI (in case I want to visit relatives in Foggia), VIE, AMS, CDG, DTM (for if I go to Gelsenkirchen to visit my aunt if she's not in Imperia), BCN (which would mean flights on 4U, AB or even U2, hopefully NOT FR). As for German domestic, perhaps CGN, GWT and BER (though Berlin preferably by car or by train, and GWT preferably by train). And maybe, just maybe, if I can get myself to do it (because of my fear of getting a very rude CBP officer at immigration and customs, as well as the fear of getting an even ruder TSA screener), maybe I'll do a trip to the United States, but that's not likely to happen this year.

So far I have a pretty boring schedule:

29 Mar LGA-MIA AA 757-200
06 Apr MIA-LGA AA 737-800

I rarely fly to MIA, so that will be a nice change, but I don't like LGA and I don't like AA's 752s. Wish I could have flown JFK-MIA-JFK on the 762 but that would have cost a lot more. Oh well.

For once, I don't actually have any booked flights yet! I don't expect that many sectors
this year - I flew 35-40 sectors in 2009, which isn't bad - but they will include to JER and
a business trip (details and dates to be decided) to Montreal or Buenos Aires. Probably also a couple flying trips. I'd quite like to see MAN's renovated terminal, so I might fly MAN-DUB-EMA.

Only two round trips booked so far. I am sure to lose silver after 2010.
FYI I am riding AMTRAK a little more. The're usually late but hassel free.

Quoting TurkishWings (Reply 10):
05 March IST-HKG on TK J class

12 March HKG-IST on TK J class

There will definitely be a tag on to these flights as I will not spend 12 days in Hong Kong. And those flights will most probably be HKG-CEB-HKG on CX...

I just made the booking for HKG-CEB-HKG.

11 Mar CX921 HKG 09:05 CEB 11:45 0 02:40 773 Confirmed
17 Mar CX920 CEB 12:45 HKG 15:25 0 02:40 330 Confirmed

I assume there is no AVOD on short-haul CX flights right?

Edit: My HKG-IST flight is on Mar 17 not 12. Sorry for the typo...

So far not that much firmly booked for 2010 ,

31 Jan EK 702 MRU DXB
01 Feb EK 406 DXB1AKL
25 Feb EK 407 AKL1DXB
27 Feb EK3703 DXB MRU

hope to have flights later in the year

MRU-ANR return
MRU-RUN return
MRU-CPT return

So apart from the trip home for our wedding ( yay! ) everything else this year is expected to be short local hops .

Not much booked so far:

Jan:
MSP-DEN UA 319
DEN-SAN UA 320
SAN-IAH CO 739
IAH-MSP CO 738

Feb:
MSP-DTW DL 753 (really weird to say a Delta 757-300 since NW will be gone by then)
DTW-FLL DL 753
FLL-ATL DL 757
ATL-MSP DL 757

Still gotta figure out about 100k worth of Continental EQMs and 65k worth of Delta EQMs. First priority is re-upping the CO Platinum - I see a lot of United and Continental flights in my near future.
