Sat Jan 30, 2010 11:29 pm

Does anyone have a current list of Emirates/Ethiad A340-500 routes? Would like to ride one of these beauties sometime this year.

Adding to that:

DXB-MEL-AKL EK406/7, DXB-BNE-AKL EK 434/5, for a very short time DXB-KUL-MEL. DXB-PER is also run by A345 until the end of March.

EY send a mixture of A345 and A346 to SYD direct from AUH and they send A345s on AUH-MEL too.
It's all about the destination AND the journey.

DXB-PER regularly uses several different aircraft. I've seen A343, A345, 772 and 773. While it makes spotting interesting (especially when the official schedule doesn't match the aircraft that arrives), it would make it hard to book a flight with the intention of getting specific equipment.

So with Etihad, are basically the only ones that use the A/C for true ULH? I'm guessing SYD, ORD, MEL, and JFK would be considered ULH. As far as I know the only true ULH I can think of is SQ to JFK/LAX.

You can also add JNB to the EK list.

Route was stopped earlier last year.

Mixed bag on this route, only EK 424/425 is scheduled A345. EK420/421 is a B77L.

Quoting Zizou (Reply 1):
Osaka

B777-300ER route.

Quoting AirIndia (Reply 5):

Only EK 508/509

Only EK 765/766

Don't think the A345 goes to ZRH anymore, it's a mix of a B773ER and A332 now.

Quoting Zizou (Reply 1):
Hamburg

It's now a mix of 773 and 773ER

I have read elsewhere that as of January 2011 EK will no longer use the 345 on ULH services.

All Oz/Kiwi Services will be flown by either 77L, 77W or 380

Don't know how true that information is though.
