New UA 744 Config

Fri Oct 29, 2010 3:49 am

Hi everyone,
I was just checking flights from LAX to SYD, and I noticed that the flight on the 1st of Nov (UA839) shows that its being operated with a 744 with a config of 14/73/260. As far as I know, the only UA 744 config is 12/52/310. When did this new config come about, or am I out of the loop and it's not new? I'd be surprised, as I commute from SYD, but anything is possible. Does anyone have a seatmap?
Thanks,
Nick

Its not a new configuration, but an old unconverted one.

Here it is

Ah ok. Thanks! I didn't realize that there were any unconverted birds left. Oh well - you live and you learn.

Ouch! Are they really putting that thing they pulled out of the desert on prime international routes? I thought that plane, which as it stands will NOT be converted, was just a domestic spare...
Flying in the middle seat of coach is much better than not flying at all!

It's used as an op spare.
Which would you rather- flying in an unconverted aircraft, or staying home?
