Remain in Amsterdam or San Fran. "Medicinal Marijuana" is a myth that is taken seriously only in the state of California. Which is not exactly surprising. (Of course, you are free to use it in the lavs on board, as long as you don't disable the smoke detector)

Sorry, but your wrong. Marijuana is used in the treatment of medical issues. Just because its not a widely accepted one... doesn't remove its benifits and its side effects.

Not very good, unfortunately. Until the Feds (mostly in the pockets of Big Pharma) and ignoramus states governments can be reasonable on this issue, there will be much much slower than expected.

Unfortunately, this is the attitude that hinders any progress to what is fact and what is fiction with this issue.

I really don't like to smoke "pot" that much, but I can say that I have a good friend who has MS and was on his deathbed a few years ago. Since Colorado is a legal medical marijuana state, they gave him some pot to smoke for comfort. After a few joints, he actually started showing improvement of this condition. And now, after a few years and many thousand of joints, he is standing up out of his wheelchair. His doctors and acquaintances are absolutely in awe of this miracle, and they attribute all of this to his cannaboid intake. California doctors recommend cannoboid products as the first line of treatment for MS, and it has shown to remarkably effective in battling this disease.

There seems to be a number of other conditions that medical marijuana is effective for as well.

And when I see posts as the above, I shudder to think that my dear friend could be in his grave now, rather than trying to walk, all because of ignorant attitudes in this matter.

And it's too bad my friend can't really go traveling within a lot of the country for fear of being arrested.

It's on the federal list of controlled substances, which makes travelling with it across state lines probably a federal crime punishable by several years in prison.

Whether it has benefits for you (and I doubt it does, the majority of people who use it for medical purposes either are incapable of travel and/or know full well what the procedures are) or not doesn't matter one iota to a TSA or FBI agent, let alone to a judge.

But that doesn't make it a myth now does it, which was the point he was contesting.

FWIW, the current administration has shown a somewhat softer stance than the previous one.

To actually answer the OP question: http://marijuanamedicals.com/blogs/d...marijuana-sfo-and-oakland-airports

My advice, keep it in state and travel with your documents and keep the quantity low.
