Hi all,
I was out in the garden just now and saw an aircraft at about 6000ft which looked like an Easyjet A319, heading North, which I thought was quite a bizarre thing, as the only aircraft we get at low altitude overhead going North from Edinburgh are usually Ryanair and Norwegian coming out of Runway 24 towards Scandinavia etc... so I checked it out on flightradar.
It appears EZY141 LTN-ABZ flew up from Luton, circled outside ABZ for a lengthy period, before diverting back down to EDI. It is now heading back up to ABZ.
Anyone know why this happened?
Doesn't seem to be any weather conditions at ABZ?

Runway 34 ILS is NOTAM'd out of service; if this runway was in use the aircraft would have been using a non-precision approach with a much higher decision height, hence the runway would not have been seen before breaking through the cloud resulting in a go-around.
No trees were harmed by this message. However, several million electrons were terribly inconvenienced
