In contrast to all of you showoffs with a thousand airlines,    here's my cute little list

American (MD82, MD83, 757-200)
American Eagle (ERJ-145)
United (A319, A320, 757-200, 767-300, 777-200ER)
United Express (CRJ-700, E-170)
Frontier (A318, A319, A320, E-170, E-190, Dash 8 Q400)
Southwest (737-300, 737-700)
Delta (MD-88, MD-90, DC-9-51, 757-200)
Delta Connection (CRJ-700)
US Airways (737-300)

If things go as planned, I'll add one airline at the end of the month and another one in November!
Good night, and keep watching the skis. Uh, skies.

Not that it matters all that much, but I accidentally left off Comair, whose CRJ-100/200/700s I've flown.

In (I think) chronological order from the first time I flew them....

[and no prizes for guessing at which point I moved from the UK to Australia!]

1) American Airlines (763, 727, M80 - I think, I was 9 months old!)
2) British Airways (ATP, 146, 733, 734, 320, 752, 744, 772)
3) USAir (727)
4) TWA (I was 3)
5) Caledonian Airlines (ditto)
6) TAT (734)
7) British World Airlines (BAC-111)
8) Continental (AT4, AT7, ER4, M80, 735, 733, 738, 739, 752, 764, 772)
9) Virgin Atlantic (744)
10) British Midland (733)

Air Pacific is defunct???
Or do you mean an airline other than the Fijian airline Air Pacific (FJ) that is most definitely still flying? If so where were they from and a little of their history, please.

Sorry for the confusion. Air Pacific was a small California airline in the late 70s. I flew twin otter service from San Francisco to Stockton.

Quite a contrast to FJ who fly B744, B763 & B737s across the Pacific!

1. United-(starting with DC7)
2. National (starting with Electra)
3. Loftleider (CL-44)--the loudest and most fun LUX-KEF-JFK 1969
4 .Eastern
5. American
6. American Eagle
7. Skywest (Swearingen, Embraer, etc.)
8. Malev (TU-134)
9. Delta
10. Northwest
11. Alaska
12. PSA
13. AirCal
14. Pan Am
15. TWA
16. Alitalia
17. Meridiana
18. British
19. BEA
20. SAS
21. Republic
22. North Central
23. TAP
24. Air France
25. USAir
26. Western
27. America West
28. Mexicana
29. Aero Mexico
30. International Air Bahama
31. Austral (Argentina)
32. TanSahsa (Hondoras)
33. Song
34. Lufthansa
35. Ted
36. Braniff
37. Continental
38. Virgin America
39. jetBlu
40. Southern
41. Southwest
42. FinnAir (Caravelle)
43. Carnival Airlines (A-300 in horrible condition- r/t MIA-LAX but 2 meals each way!)

This trip down memory lane was fun. Also sad as it reminds me of the demise of PA, EA, TWA, National. Here in South Florida, EA, PAA and National were all part of the fabric of the community.

A little history - BWIA was originally British West Indian Airways when founded in 1940. After T&T's independence in 1962 the acronym BWIA continued to be used but the full description fell largely into disuse. In 1980 TTAS, which was formed in 1975 to take over the domestic route between POS and TAB from a collapsed domestic entity called Caribbean United Airlines, was merged into BWIA and its new official name became Trinidad & Tobago International Airways. In 2000 a rebranding saw BW become BWIA West Indies Airways, which remained its name until dissolution in late 2006. Caribbean Airlines was born on the following day, 1 January 2007.

Tobago Express was formed as a subsidiary of BW in 2001 and merged with Caribbean Airlines in 2007.
Caribbean Airlines took over Air Jamaica (founded in 1968) in 2010 and fully merged this year.
Air Caribbean was formed in 1993 and collapsed in 2000.
The original Frontier closed in 1986 after falling into bankruptcy.
Pan Am collapsed in 1991.
Eastern closed in 1991.
Aeropostal as LAV shut down in 1994. It was reborn as Aeropostal Alas de Venezuela in 1997.
Air Wales was formed in 1997 and closed in 2006.
Thomsonfly and First Choice merged as Thomson Airways in 2008.
Futura collapsed in 2008.
Lufthansa Italia started in 2009 and will close later this month.
