If I had the choice I would take Air New Zealand but that's just me (besides I don't know how their fare compares).
But back to the
BA v
AF saga. I love flying the A380, it's quiet and smooth, comfy etc....but if you have never flown on a 747 before, then it might be worth trying one while you still can.
There are less and less airlines are using 747s for passenger flights these days. There are more retiring than coming off the production line. In a few months
BA are sending the A380 into
LAX so as if to prove my point, maybe try the 747 while you can.
I had the option to fly in a
UA DC8 years ago, and chose a
AA 727 instead. I am happy to have flown in the 727 (a very early one at that), but I never had another chance to fly in a DC8 and I regret that now, I assumed "next time I try one". Next time never came.
