Royal Brunei B787 Business Class

Wed Oct 09, 2013 3:57 am

I'm thinking about booking a flight from Melbourne to London on BI for next year in Business Class, but I'd like to see what the B787 BWN LHR product is before booking. I've been into the BI office in MEL and they have no images as yet of the seat. Has anyone seen anything anywhere about the seating/layout?
Nothing seems as good since the VC10.

As far as I know, their B787 business class seats are in a 2-2-2 layout. Besides that, there seems to be a lack of information available regarding their B787 seating as of now.

They are a dry airline. It´s not an issue for me anymore, but, for a lot of people that alone says it all.

Found this...

That's the B777 product, which they use from MEL to BWN. It's the B787 product that I want to know about

Thats a bonus for me. No chance of having to sit next to drunkards....

How can you be so confident of such a guarantee? If someone with alcohol dependence had to endure travelling on a dry airline, I suspect they'd have a plan B such as drinking in the lounge/airport bar before the flight... So you could still be seated next to someone who was drunk.

I believe there will be an official launch at the airline later this month, but so far the only pics of the seats are from the local media's tour of the Boeing factory... http://rano360.com/ranoadidas2/index...icle&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=50

Don't be too sure of that.

Whilst Royal Brunei are considered a "dry" airline, it is perfectly fine for you to "BYO" and drink you're own purchased duty free whilst on board. The crew will even bring you Coke/Dry Ginger Ale/Sprite etc as mixers and a plastic "glass" with ice. No problems.

Worked for me.

The seat in that picture is the Contour Aura. So if that is the seat (and the article says that it is the seat in the caption), they will have the same ones as Lan (although probably with different fabric colors).

Here's that seat on Lan. Full 180 degree flat. Expect 2-2-2 with 75-80 inch pitch, since that is Lan's configuration.

If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

Saw this on Changi airport's Facebook page
Apparantly Changi was the launch city for their 787s. No surprise giving how strategically close both countries are!
