Monarch Airlines A300 Farewell Flight

Wed Oct 23, 2013 1:07 pm

Hi All,

Just wondering what the appetite is for getting on a last flight of Monarch's A300s next year?

With the number of scheduled flights left on the aircraft now numbering in the 10s who would be interested in a farewell flight for the aircraft in 2014?

I'm sure if there are sufficient numbers, it can be done!

Will new A321s be replacing the A300s?

I'd be very keen - I've never flown an A300 (have been on an A310 a few times).

So long as I have the time off work and it's a reasonable price, then yes I would be in!

I would be interested.

What routes are the last to be served with the A300. Is this schedule reliable?

Thank you for any information.

Best regards,
Henrik

After today, less than 100 sectors left on scheduled services... and after next weekend, only remaining scheduled services are;

8Nov13 ... ZB676/7 MAN-ALC-MAN
10Nov13 ... ZB682/3 MAN-ALC-MAN
11Nov13 ... ZB683/3 MAN-ALC-MAN
16Nov13 ... ZB676/7 MAN-ALC-MAN
17Nov13 ... ZB682/3 MAN-ALC-MAN
20Dec13 ... ZB286/7 LGW-TFS-LGW
27Dec13 ... ZB286/7 LGW-TFS-LGW
03Jan14 ... ZB286/7 LGW-TFS-LGW
10Jan14 ... ZB286/7 LGW-TFS-LGW

Of course, the above remain subject to change.

All of the remaining programme is charter flying, and you will require a holiday booking in order to jump on the flights, with the exception of LGW-BJL, bookable via avro.co.uk

I do hope Monarch do final goodbye flight, kind of like BA did for the 757, I'd be up for it and I'm sure a great many more would be too.

How likely will the LGW-TFS-LGW flights on January 10th be operated with the A300? I think about booking a seat. It would be the last scheduled flight!?

When is the best time for booking? I found a 100 € fare for TFS-LGW. Is it likely that there will be a cheaper ticket available in the period until January? When?

Thank you for any help.

Best regards,
Henrik
