Has there been any news on the combined employee travel program for AA/US? Now that AA/US have merged, will employees now be cleared from the standby list by seniority or order of check-in time? What about super-priority and buddy passes?
|Quoting OB1504 (Reply 3):|
So even employees will travel as D3 now? Will the priority code for buddy passes change?

Sorry, Alex. Need to clarify a few things:

Don't forget one new kink. A non rev passenger on a connecting flight will get priority over a passenger originating in the city. Thus a pax flying from BOS-ABQ via DFW will get priority on the DFW-ABQ segment over anyone starting in DFW. The reason for this is AA does not want to strand non rev passengers in hubs while making connection and they assume that any originating passengers will have some sore of accommodations in that hub.

Yep, announced a few months ago.
-Time of Check In
-D3 is the starting priority with D1 and D2 for vacation and higher priority
-Buddy Passes will be at the lowest priority, even if employee is flying with them
-Guest Pass (US thing) will be added for PMAA employees.
-Buddy Passes will be allotted to 16 one ways or 8 r/t (AA had more but this included parents too)
All in All I think they truly took the best of both sides of non revving.

With the merger , will US now offer EZED tickets? They were one of the few carriers that did not offer it. while I believe AA did
