I have been intrigued by airlines and their use of specific social media tools. Particularly Instagram. How they use photos to promote their brand or how they use the tool to connect and serve customers.
Which airline has the most interesting Instagram feed?
United
Delta
KLM
WestJet
Hawaiian
Air France
WestJet
Southwestair
FlySAS
VirginAmerica
AmericanAir
There are many more. And then there is this interesting one.
I personally find the @jeffh737 account interesting...
All joking aside, I like American's the best because of the way they frequently respond to questions, and are more likely to like your own photos. I think Allegiant's (@allegianttravel) is also pretty cool.
There are lots of accounts that claim you will get free tickets or something for "the first 50 thousand people to follow." Please avoid those, a surprisingly large amount of people fall for those. To find the official account, I recommend going to their website or something!
Anyways, I know:
Asiana
American
US Airways
Delta
United
jetBlue
Frontier
Air France
KLM
Emirates
Plenty of the usual photos you'd expect, some route promoting and brand building along with behind the scenes type stuff. They always tend to like photos tagged with #aerlingus and share the best to their official Facebook page.
flyswiss is one I like - every month the Instagram account is handed over to a new member of staff - last month was an Avro pilot, this month is someone office-based (IIRC) but they all have their own perspective on the operation and it keeps changing (last month's posts were particularly good…)
My local airport, Landvetter (GOT) has an account and is doing the same thing, letting a new member of staff upload their pictures from the airport every week. @landvetterairport
