Hi all,
Just saw this on the BBC News website in a story about Lydd receiving more holiday traffic this season.

The image in the background looks suspiciously like a Janet 737-200. I know they're onto the NG, but I wonder if anyone knows more?

That looks more like a former Sharjah Amiri Flight aircraft - probably the former A6-ESH which spent a lot of time based at LGW. I remember seeing it at MME in the 1990s.

Great eyes - thanks for the clarification, both! The cockpit and tail areas are different, as are the details on the cowls.
I did think I was in Dreamland to some extent, but hey. It's worth asking.

If you mean the reddish, orangey details, those are fabric intake and outlet covers (to stop animals, birds, wasps etc nesting in the engines - and dust and dirt too).
