EK Upgrade Question C To F

Thu Aug 07, 2014 5:07 am

Hi guys,

just booked my next Europe trip making use of a QF double mileage offer flying EK 433 BNE-DXB continuing on to HAM on EK 61. Coming back will be EK 52 ex MUC connecting to EK 434 to BNE. All booked in C.

Thought I'd use some QF miles and treat myself to an upgrade to F on the trip to Europe and boy was I surprised to hear that you can't upgrade using QF miles on EK flights even though they are a code share and I booked directly on the QF website.

What other options are there to upgrade to F. Does EK offer this at check-in, if open seats ? What are my chances of getting upgraded to F as a QF Platinum ?

As I said, only looking to upgrade on the 777 flights to Europe. Coming back all A380 and have already reserved seats 23 A on both flights.

Hope you guys have some input.

Cheers from Brisbane,
