Etihad's A346 J Seat Layout

Hi Everyone,

I have a question about the Business Class seats on Etihad's A340-600s.

I noticed on the etihad.com seat map that Row 6 has C, D, G and H (aisle) seats.

However, the SeatGuru website gives Row 6 with A, D, G, and K seats. What seems strange to me is while A and K seats are usually on the window, the image provided by seatguru.com shows them as aisle seats.

Compounding this confusion is that I have selected and had confirmed on the phone that I'm seated in the "window seat" 6A which would seem to suggest the seat map on Etihad's own website is wrong.

I'm really keen to get a window seat and would appreciate if somebody could explain what is going on here?

Could it have something to do with Etihad's new(er) seats, have they also slightly altered the layout without changing the seat maps to reflect it?

...in the forward cabin. In the second J cabin, it shows A as the window seat and C as the aisle which just makes things even more confusing!

I'd be trusting what EY has told you in this case (and logic, which would dictate that the A seat should be further left that the C seat). The information on seatguru (and other sites like it) should always be taken with a grain of salt!

Has the equipment changed to A333?
It appears that the A333 is the only aircraft in the EY fleet with a window seat 6A. All other aircraft according to seat maps available online have the aisle seat of 6C.

There are 2 different J Class layouts on EY's A346s, although the seat totals are all the same at F12 J32 Y248.

A6-EHE/HF/HH were retro-fitted a couple of years ago with the current Business Class which starts with 5CEFH, 6ADGK, 7CEFH, 8ADGK, 9CEFH, then in the second cabin 10AEFK, 11CDGH, 12AEFK.

A6-EHI/HJ/HK/HL retain the previous Business Class, which starts with 5AEFK, 6CDGH, 7AEFK, 8CDGH, 9AEFK, then in the second cabin 10AEFK, 11CDGH, 12AEFK.

Hope this clarifies.

Later this year the A346s will start to be retrofitted to a standard F8 J32 Y276 configuration and will therefore all end up with an identical seat map.

It's AUH-SYD, so I don't think that is the case but it's a good thought though
