Aircraft Types You Have Flown On All Variants

Sat Dec 06, 2014 4:02 am

What aircraft types have you flown on all variants made?

For me, it is just the Boeing 777.

777-200 United, Thai
777-200ER American, Malaysia, Singapore
777-200LR Delta
777-300 Emirates
777-300ER EVA Air, Air China, Virgin Australia
DC10-10/30,MD82/88/90, 717,727,732/3/4/5/7/8/9ER,742/4,752/3,763/ER,772/E/L/3/W,788/9, 306,320,321,332/3,346,359,388

I guess the 757 would count, albeit there are only two variants...

757-200 United, Continental, Delta
757-300 Delta

I might be bending the rules a bit here, but if you count the different generations of 737 separately...

737 Classic:
737-300 Southwest, United, Continental
737-400 Alaska
757-500 United, Continental

I'm only missing one variant of the 737NG (The 737-900 non-ER)
737-600 SAS
737-700 Southwest
737-800 Delta, Continental, United, Qantas
737-900ER Continental

This is something I've never thought about... wow, I'm boring!! The only one for me would be the A330/340 family (if you can count them as the same family).
A330-200(Northwest)
A330-300(Northwest/Delta)
A340-200(Royal Jordanian)
A340-300(Air France)

Well, in the 737 family I'm only missing the -100 and -600. I'm fairly close to the 747 and still have a chance to correct that as I've only flown the classic variants, that is all but the -400 and -8i. Fairly unusual as I'm only 17! I've also flown on both the 767-200ER and -300ER but am missing their non-ER compatriots.

I have some small families though... (the 717 and 380 count, don't they? :P )

Airbus A380: -800
Emirates
Boeing 717: -200
AirTran, Blue1
Boeing 757: -200, -300
Icelandair, Loftleidir, Song, Thomsonfly

Quoting N415XJ (Reply 4):

Missing the A345 and 346 there!

Sveinn

Just the A330 family for me:

A330-200 ... Hawaiian Airlines, Jet Airways
A330-300 ... Dragonair

I’m just missing one for the 757 and 767 families, though.

Who are the lucky ones that have flown on aircraft types with many variants, such as all of the 737s and all of the 747s (including the SP, Combis, ER...)...???

Quoting 777Jet (Thread starter):
For me, it is just the Boeing 777.

Actually, I got it wrong, very wrong LOL.

I have been on all variants of 5 different aircraft. I forgot to mention the other 4 as they only have one or two types of variants so they are much, much easier to tick of the all variants flown list...

717-200 - Jetstar

A380-800 - Emirates

A330-200 - Jetstar, Air China
A330-300 - Malaysia, Thai, Qantas

And, one of my favourite / most hunted types that I only just managed to log the -300 a few months ago after a decade of failed attempts: the 757.

757-200 - Delta, United
757-300 - Delta

De Havilland DHC8
few planes, but a decent variety of carriers

DHC8-100: Flugfelag Islands (1): TF-JMA
DHC8-200: Air Greenland (1): OY-GRG
Q300: Air New Zealand (2): ZK-NEO; ZK-NES
Q400: Eurolot (1) SP-EQB; QANTAS (2): VH-QOA; VH-QOP

Airbus 330 (if this counts)
A332: Air China (1): B-6113; TAP (1): CS-TON; Emirates (2): A6-EAD; A6-EKQ; QANTAS (1): VH-EBC (while it was still flying for QANTAS)
A333: QANTAS (1): VH-QPG - 5hrs20min delay and not a single sandwich as a compensation, and i got my miles credited only 7 months after the flight when they were useless for me...

Oops! Completely forgot about those two! I have flown on the -500 (Emirates BEY-DXB) but I have yet to fly on the -600. Thankfully they're not going away all that soon. Maybe this can be my excuse to plan a trip to Germany or South Africa

Arguably the 717-200 could be considered a variant of the DC-9 family. Actually I would argue that if the 737-100 through 737-900ER is going to be considered all one family then the DC-9-10 through 717-200 should be as well.

Valid point!

I just classify all the different 737 generations as all belonging to the one 737 family as they are all called 737-something

As for the 717 - because it is most commonly called the 717 I put it in a class of its own   But you are very right in your point, because whilst it is called the 717, it is also called the MD-95 and is part of the DC-9 family   I never flew on a DC-9 so by logging a 717 flight does that in fact mean I have flown on a DC-9???

G'day mate!

This thread was to just list the aircraft families that you have flown on all variants of ever made. Not to list every different type that you have flown on

Eg: If just one variant is missing from that family then you can't say you've flown on every variant in that family...

That should make your list easier to complete!

Here goes...

Well, I haven't flown on an A318... So there goes the A32X family...

The only A340 I've flown on was a -500 model....

I have flown on all existing variants of the A330 though...

A330-200: Qantas
A330-300: Qantas, Thai

I have flown on every A300 variant too,I think... But I'm hazy about the -B2 model...

A300B2: Thai
A300B4: Qantas, Australian, Thai
A300-600: Thai
A300-600R: Thai, Compass

My only A310 flight was on a -300 model...

757-300 - DL

A318 - AF
A319 - (several)
A320 - (several)
A321 - OS

A330-200 - DL, KL, AZ
A330-300 - DL

If 737NG is considered a unique family:
737-600 - WS
737-700 - several
737-800 - several
737-900 - AS, KL
737-900ER - DL

I'm just missing the E195 and CRJ1000 to finish off those series as well.

I've done a few, but not a lot.

A330-200: AF, AZ
A330-300: PR

ATR42: OA
ATR72: BE

B757-200: NW

B777-200ER: CZ, KL, SQ, TG, TZ
B777-200LR: DL
B777-300: CX
B777-300ER: CX, KL, PR

I've also done EWR-BWI-EWR-PIT on the Q300, Q200 and Q400 respectively. Plus I'm also missing the CRJ1000 to round off that series, and the E145 to round off that series as well.

You must have flown a fair bit to manage to catch all 767 variants...

Didn't DL own them all ?

I know DL currently has the -300, -300ER & -400ER...

I know they had the -200 but I'm not sure if they had the -200ER...

Perhaps somebody else could confirm if DL operated the 767-200ER at some stage?

No, I believe they only operated the -200. I found no pics in the database nor any evidence elsewhere online.

Don't worry, that happened to me, and I started the thread...

I only first listed the 777...

And then realised I have also flown on all variants of 717, 757, A330 & A380   Oops!

Lucky you having flown on the Concorde!

However, your 747 list is debatable as it doesn't include the SP, Combi, 400ER, SR, the new -8, etc...

Well, at least the -600s are still in service and are still young, despite there not being many, so if you want to log / tick off the entire 737 family you still have a chance!
