ANZ Ops At LAX: Tbit Or Remote Stand?

Thu Mar 26, 2015 11:18 pm

Hello Everyone,

I'll be traveling in the near future on ANZ from LAX to AKL and I had a question about their operations at the "new" TBIT since they moved from Term 2. ANZ has three flights departing for AKL within about an hour of each other, and I was wondering can I expect to board via jet bridge from the main TBIT itself or will I possibly board at one of the remote stands on the west side of the airport? Or since the TBIT has been expanded, do they even use the western remote parking that much anymore?

It's a busy time at night when NZ departs TBIT. A remote gate is possible but not certain. I've had mixed results.

It is very disappointing when you walk through the beautiful new terminal to the very end and then end up in a bus station.

TBIT is still operating 3 or 4 gates short of what they will have when the north concourse is finished. They are working on the east side of the north ramp. Even then the remote gates will be used for a long time. The midfield concourse is not going to open for at least 5 years.
