Quoting ab486 (Reply 17): plus having good entertainment (either AVOD or personally owned), these long flights often go by pretty quickly. |
This right here is why AVOD and/or fully available power for personal devices is an absolute necessity on long haul. With how terrible the seats are getting, sleep will be harder and harder anyways. And a book... Well, I enjoy reading. But not when there's some other person right next to me and I'm stuck in a loud tube with the only place to put a book to read from is the tray table to bend my head and slouch forward to read from, with the inevitably nasty glare from the person next to me whom was trying to sleep but blames me for his inability to sleep despite him probably not being able to sleep due to the seat anyways, and of course lack of amenity kit with eye shades on such an airline also makes it worse.
Quoting LPDAL (Reply 28): Plus we had to stop in Dakar, Senegal for fuel which more or less added three hours travel time each way. |
Did you have to deplane during that? I'm quite curious to see a report that has that detail...

Wow! Did you do a report on it?
