I'd like to see UA in some of the islands of the South Pacific like PPT. (I realize there's not an aircraft that can do that in an economically viable way given incumbent carriers.) I'd like to see UA in IST and CAI. (I realize competition and tumult preclude that.) I'd like to see UA get some better Africa coverage like CMN, JNB, DKR, ACC, NBO, and ADD. (I realize the markets are thin or covered already.) I'd like to see more South America, Europe, and Asia from Chicago from UA. (I realize that's what IAH, EWR, and SFO are for.) And I'd like to see UA upgrade ORD-MKE to include aircraft with premium cabins. (And I realize the Skywest CRJ maintenance base in MKE precludes that.) But 'tis the season so I'll make that my Christmas list.

2-3x weekly by 763 will do just fine.

IST maybe. CAI is definitely a no go now given the geopolitical turmoil.

JNB and ADD are covered by partners. Maybe EWR-CMN might make a little bit of sense.

Some E70 can't hurt I guess.

I know AA is the 800 pound gorilla at DFW, but

VS's service is so good I think they could compete there.

CMH - SEA would be nice. It would be even better if it was AS that brought the route.

I'd also like to see ANY routes at CMH from B6 or F9.

And, finally, it would be nice to see that long rumored CMH - LHR route materialize. (Hey, this is a wishlist, after all...)

I think the 738 can do that route as UA tried HNL-PPG a while ago and it's just 130 miles shorter. HNL-PPT is shorter than BOS-SFO, which probably has a lot more wind component. I understand ETOPS fuel may play a larger factor vs. a mainland route. I think the main problem with such a route is timing - if you leave in the afternoon south to catch connections, the return flight has to layover for 12 hours to make the same connections on the return. A midnight departure out of PTT would connect to LAX and SFO only. It would be great if HNL-PPT and HNL-PPG could make money with a 738 which could run 3 to 4 days per week with one aircraft.

Love to see more Eastern Europe for UA. EWR-PRG/VIE/BUD/WAW with the 763.

IMO, the latter two are only a matter of time. The former has been rumored for eons, but nothing has ever happened.

UA LAX-TXL on a 787
UA LAX-POS on a 752 with flatbed
UA LAX-SFO occasional wide body transfers
Bonus: adopt either the UA or the CO retro livery fleet wide

LH short haul reverting back to LH instead of 4U/EW
LH medium haul flatbed in 321s or more 2 class 330s
LH 748 order for new routes to LatAm
Bonus: Adopt previous LH livery fleet wide (either the 321 style or that 80s 748 style)

AV SAL-IAH on 330s
AV SAL-LAX on 787s
AV SAL-FRA on 787s

DL LAX-TIJ
DL LAX-PPT
DL LAX-MBJ

OS VIE-LAX/SFO
LO WAW-LAX/SFO

Norwegian expansion of int'l short haul in the US, e.g. more Caribbean / LatAm. More AF and KL int'l short haul service between US and Caribbean. ME3 expansion in LatAm. More non-EU carriers doing intra-EU wide body legs.

If half of these come true 2016 will be outstanding.

I'm surprised too. We can go back-n-forth about rival hubs or LGA and what not, but at the bare minimum, 1x DEN-JFK with E75 to feed the long-haul hub would do fine (or maybe they think the existence of PHL more than nullify that need)

DUB-DOH (QR or EI when they join One World)
DUB-PEK/PVG (CA)

Also hoping that ORK-BOS (DY) is approved.
Let's fly! Unless it's on a CRJ 200, then I'll stay down here.

Quoting jeffh747 (Reply 29):
AB TXL/DUS-PHL
Quoting chepos (Reply 6):
PHX-NRT on any airlines, PHX-LHR on AA and LAX-HKG on AA. One can dream!

I'll go with those above. Though would love to see a JAL 787 on the PHX-NRT route. A couple others:

AA:
PHX-MSY

SW:
PHX-SJD
PHX-PVR
(need some competition)

Anything for MDT -- like a return of DEN-MDT on Frontier, or maybe a less than daily MDT-LAS.
I know it probably won't happen, but I can hope!
