What Routes Do You Want From Santa For 2016

Happy Holidays everyone!

So what routes are on your holiday wishlist? Lets do domestic (if applicable), international short haul, and international long haul. Can be from your own home airport or not.

My wish list.

Domestic: BOS-SAT
International Short-haul: BOS-SJO
International Long-hail: BOS-ICN - either Korean carrier is fine with me for the route.

I'd like to see UA in some of the islands of the South Pacific like PPT. (I realize there's not an aircraft that can do that in an economically viable way given incumbent carriers.) I'd like to see UA in IST and CAI. (I realize competition and tumult preclude that.) I'd like to see UA get some better Africa coverage like CMN, JNB, DKR, ACC, NBO, and ADD. (I realize the markets are thin or covered already.) I'd like to see more South America, Europe, and Asia from Chicago from UA. (I realize that's what IAH, EWR, and SFO are for.) And I'd like to see UA upgrade ORD-MKE to include aircraft with premium cabins. (And I realize the Skywest CRJ maintenance base in MKE precludes that.) But 'tis the season so I'll make that my Christmas list.

2-3x weekly by 763 will do just fine.

IST maybe. CAI is definitely a no go now given the geopolitical turmoil.

JNB and ADD are covered by partners. Maybe EWR-CMN might make a little bit of sense.

CMH - SEA would be nice. It would be even better if it was AS that brought the route.

I'd also like to see ANY routes at CMH from B6 or F9.

And, finally, it would be nice to see that long rumored CMH - LHR route materialize. (Hey, this is a wishlist, after all...)

I think the 738 can do that route as UA tried HNL-PPG a while ago and it's just 130 miles shorter. HNL-PPT is shorter than BOS-SFO, which probably has a lot more wind component. I understand ETOPS fuel may play a larger factor vs. a mainland route. I think the main problem with such a route is timing - if you leave in the afternoon south to catch connections, the return flight has to layover for 12 hours to make the same connections on the return. A midnight departure out of PTT would connect to LAX and SFO only. It would be great if HNL-PPT and HNL-PPG could make money with a 738 which could run 3 to 4 days per week with one aircraft.

Love to see more Eastern Europe for UA. EWR-PRG/VIE/BUD/WAW with the 763.

I'm surprised too. We can go back-n-forth about rival hubs or LGA and what not, but at the bare minimum, 1x DEN-JFK with E75 to feed the long-haul hub would do fine (or maybe they think the existence of PHL more than nullify that need)
