RE: Aircraft Types You've Logged:2016 Edition

Mon Feb 01, 2016 7:41 pm

Always impressive list here. I have an album with the different airlines and types. Off the top of my head:

Cessna 206
Grumman Mallard 73-T
Cessna Citation Sovereign
DC-9-31
DC-9-51
717
727-200
737-200
737-300
737-400
737-700
737-800
747-200
747-300
747-400
747-400ER
757-200
757-300
767-200ER
767-300ER
777-200ER
777-300ER
A300-600R
A319
A320
A321
A330-300
ATR-42
ATR-72
Dash-7
Bae-146-200
ERJ-135
ERJ-145
ERJ-175
ERJ-190
CRJ-200
CRJ-700
MD-80
MD-88
Dash-8-400

I think that does it. My biggest "holes" would be DC-10, MD-11, Fokker 70/100 A340. Won't be easy to get on most of those unfortunately. Still no A350, A380 or 787 for me but plenty of options for those.

I didn't add anything really new or interesting last year, basically just more 738s and A320s. The most interesting was that I did get a domestic 777 flight on AA, but that was a type I'd already logged.

In over 30 years flying, only last year have I managed to log my first flight in a 747. Finally! It has always been the type most sorely missing from my log. Couldn't care less about 777's, 787's, 330's, 350's or 380's. There's gonna be a zillion chances to score rides on those in the distant and not-so-distant future. But the 747?

I don't know why, but I just love reading through these lists! Even if it is with a hint of jealousy.

Here's my list. I'm probably missing a few airlines, but it's almost complete.

Boeing
737-300/400/800 (Britannia, Thomson, Futura, bmibaby, Ryanair, LOT, Malaysian)
747-400 (British Airways, China Airlines and KLM)
757-200 (Britannia)
777-200ER/300ER (British Airways, Cathay Pacific, United, Air China, Etihad)

Airbus
A319/A320/A321(Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, easyjet, SAS, S7 - Siberian Airlines, Aeroflot, Hong Kong Airlines, China Eastern)
A330-200/300 (China Airlines, Air Seychelles, Hong Kong Airlines, China Eastern, Air China, Etihad)
A380 (Malaysian)

Embraer
E195 (Lufthansa Cityline)

BAe
Avro RJ100 (Brussels Airlines)

Fokker
F70 (KLM Cityhopper)

Bombarder
Q400 (Eurolot, flybe)

My next targets are the A340, A350 and 787. I'd also like to try some Soviet types, but I guess time has run out really.
Though knowing me, my next flight will be on either an A320 or 737.
