Pilots, your favorite weather
I ask the question because today in the UK it has been very hot and almost not a clound in the sky for 8 hrs, just that beautiful blue, and it got me wondering what the pros enjoy when at the office.Some people like a bit of chop (me) some like it smooth, when you are looking out that cockpit during the day is all that blue asthecitlly pleasing to you? Does it make the job any easier?

I prefer a clear, cold day. Performance is wonderful, air is nice and crisp, it's just nice. Besides preflight of course.
Look at sweatpants guy. This is a 90 million dollar aircraft, not a Tallahassee strip club

On the Cessna 172 or PA-28, a clear summer day with a few cumulus and just enough chop to feel the plane.
As for the big ones, I've only had the luck to do that once in an ATR. Clear weather and still air on the way out, overcast and chop on the way back. I preferred the clear air for the view of the ground.

I like flying on cloudy, smooth days where the climbs and descents are in IMC and cruise is in the clear with cool cloud formations below. It is always fun to end a flight with an ILS approach almost down to minimums.

Smooth in the cruise with the occasional scattered CB to cruise around.

I love a nice, really high overcast with good visibility. Keeps the sun out of your eyes and you can sightsee.
Too lazy to work, too scared to steal!

A light breeze (5kts or so), clear and a million, anywhere in the 70 degree range is beautiful for me. Nice and easy, warm enough to be comfortable without sacrificing performance but cool enough not to sweat.
Dynamic weather can be a nice change of pace now and then to change it up but I'm a Southern California kid. Give me sunny and comfortable 99% of the time.
