A321-100 modified to A321-200

I have just seen that Air Cap had around 2006/2007 modified some A321-100 to A321-200. That were frames returned from ANA. Is that common? Are there limitations like production year? Is it a big deal or a rather simple change? I know about winglets and tankage, but are there further changes, like structural? The A321-200 seems to have a higher MTOW than the -100.

Both have the same original winglets (wing fences) from factory. It was only the A320-100 that was missing the wing fences

A321-100 and -200 have slightly different nose gears, but I don't know what exactly is different.

Is it AerCap not Air Cap? I think it should be AerCap because Air Cap never been listed since then. But the engine has also changed since it was modified to -200.

It is AerCap, my mistake. The engine changes from IAE V2530-A5 to IAE V2533-A5 with the conversion, but that could be a plug or a different program for the FADEC.

What was new for me, was that this is possible. I never heard about converting the A321-100 to -200.

It's possible that only the -100 that was built starting 1997 ones outward only can converted to -200. Btw, what is FADEC?

Only the earlier IC requested for bogie gears.
Most of the difference is internal apart from the wing fences on the -200.

As already mentioned, all A321s have wingtip fences. Only the few original A320-100s lacked them.

An A321-200 has heavier gears to begin with. Also engines designation change could be IDG mod too.

Why the need for heavier gears....is there a load variation.

There is indeed, A -200 has up to a 93,000 Kg MTOW
